I enjoyed modding the hell out of my car however if I were to do it all over again I might go for a M1.

I've had several opportunities to buy GT-350's and I was always concerned about the FPC. One of my friends sold his just due to that.

A GT-500 would be cool too but the spec I would want is well into the 6 figures and I have issues paying that sum for a mustang.

I agree with your take on the GT500. I stared at a CFTP on the showroom floor that was unsold and passed. I couldn't bring myself to pay Porsche money for a Mustang, even though I truly believe the S550 platform is excellent.

Regarding M1 vs modding, I ended up deciding on modding just because I love working on the car. I'm also still not sure how I feel about direct injection long term, even w/port injection in there also. I had a 335 before the Mustang and uh, HPFP that is all. I know it's a bit of paranoia mixed with past experiences. The M1 is a great choice though, and I love how it looks, even next to a 350/500.

I think my ideal S550 would be 15-17 body with a 5.2XS and a Tremec swapped in.

Agreed on the 5.2XS and a tremec. I would probably even go as far as adding a sequential shifter as well. I already talked to a custom builder that I do business with about it.

Just to be clear, even if I had a M1, I would still mod the hell out of it lol.

There was an australian company called Bremer but I think they had some issues getting their product off the runway. In some respects it is a superior product.

I would have taken way less time between mods, and concentrated on specific systems, i.e. chassis, suspension, brakes, drivetrain, engine and body, probably in that order, instead of jumping around between components.

I should of done more research on the Roush built cars for 2018 and up. If i knew then what I know now i would of walked away from the purchase of my Roush built 19 stage 3 and bought a Mach 1 then had a set of turbo's put on & been done.

What turbos would you have used and who would have put them on?

And why turbos instead of a supercharger?

Not challenging just trying to learn.

Hellion sleeper kit.
I would put them on.
Have Palm Beach Dyno tune it.

Turbos will let you have more power to the wheels, you won't worry about your crankshaft snout, but most importantly they go pssh-pssht instead of whining all the time. :p

You misspelled Wengerd Performance. 😁
They might work too. I just picked who's close to me with a decent amount of experience with that specific kit. There's tons of tuners across the country that would be capable of doing it.

2019 GT PP1 A10 Outrageous Orange HPDE mods
My first Miustang was 2016 GT Premium. Then the 2018 came out with a dozen checkboxes that didn't even exist before. (E.g. A10 with PP.)

I traded it for my current 2019 GT PP1. I have been having fun modifying it for HPDE, and slowly converting it to Mach1 equivalent, by adding coolers, sphericals, some suspension bits, etc.

My ideal car would be a GT350 body & suspension, with Coyote (for reliability), and 10-speed. I hope to acquire/install the GT350 brakes next year, and then I will be pretty close to my ideal car.

Plus, I'm still very pleased with my car's appearance:
