Yes, I would use distilled. It is cheap at the grocery store. Just me, but I'd check with other cars to see if there coolant level was about the same as mine. (My car is in storage for another week or I'd post my own photo.)
Another related question is "When should I replace my coolant?" I...
If you are trying to save money by staying with your staggered wheels you can even consider getting 4 identical tires. That will double the warranty, and the extra 1/4" bulge on the fronts may not be any more noticeable than the slight gap difference. In fact, the wheel gap would be the same...
I think your photo is proving my point in post #5 above. In that you may add some coolant, only to find it back at this level anyway.
Again, any coolant in the expansion tank tells me that the radiator has all it needs. An empty expansion tank would start me to investigate further.
BTW...
Even so, I just suspect you will find your claim rejected everywhere.
I run 275/40 square on 9.5" O-Z rims. Wheel gap looks identical front and rear. I don't lower my car either, so the gap is uniform all around the fender. Furthermore, your speedo/odo is calibrated for 275/40 in the back...
My PS4S are on only for track days including driving to and from the track. They are 5 years old. About 6 or 7 32nds left. They refuse to wear out! But I will keep running them until they wear down. Chalk up their sliding around to more car control experience I guess!
I think OP would have to...
If you had a mechanical breakdown or accident at the track and your car is disabled, what do you do?
The mind spins over the various issues and challenges, all while feeling stressed about an unfortunate situation:
Track facility closing soon
Need a ride into town and an extra hotel stay
Hire...
Haha, I was going to guess $3000! If that includes a new bumper and painting for that then not so bad.
I once got a quote to paint a primed OEM hood at $1500. Add $1200 (?) for the Ikon hood, and that's 2700. Then $600+ for clear film, maybe $170 to re-stripe it, etc. Pretty expensive for a...
You are trying to power your diff pump, correct? Anything else you need to power?
My car has a dashcam and diff pump that are both on switched circuits via add-a-fuse wires. So I have 3 add-a-fuse wires in there.
I am redoing my dashcam soon, and can then post some pics, but that doesn't...
If your car has over 20k miles, I'd just replace it. New ones from mail order places are just over $100. You might want to replace the pair.
New ones come with studs, so no hassle there. If you find you need to R/R studs yourself, get the Lisle 22800 tool from eBay. And you can push out...
@Bossdog interesting extra info.
And yeah, I get it that it is tough to get those blocks to fit into the OEM slots. Tight fit there. Plus it's tricky to route the exit wire sometimes.
I do not know about the 3-prong fuses. If the center leg was hot and each side a load, then yes, you...
@Angrey, I can do it for you. Either rebuild what you have, or fab a new set for you. I made lines for my DIY oil and diff cooler builds.
DM me if interested.
This is consistent with what I recall determining a few years back.
Correct. Of the two fuse rows, they connect at the block end, but do not at the wire end.
Incorrect. The add-a-fuse lead wire must point towards the load side. Which means it must exit out the rearward side of the fusebox.
Hey @Zelek , again it's a fabulous result.
Are you putting a matching decal on the hood and trunk, too?
Did you get a new/different bumper? If so, then why?
How well did the body shop match the gray paint?
May I ask what the paint job cost you?
