I do still have the original hubs on the car now, but I'm suspicious that one is going out. I'd prefer not to press these studs out and into the next hubs, I'm just concerned that the ARPs are too short for a 35mm spacer. To get the same amount of threads as OEM studs without a spacer, I would need a 3.81" UHL. I don't know how tight I'd be with only the extra 1".
you'll definitely need the MSI R length studs for a 35mm spacer. My ARP studs were maxed at 25mm

Both have shoulders which is stronger than threaded to the base.
For insane overkill, I used 610-333 once, but they are super massive overkill w full shoulder 5/8" thick. Not recommended cause overkill heavy lol.

ARP are great and all, but first time a wheel bearing dies, Id rather put in fresh 610-530 then spend time to reuse the $$$ ARP after the knurl has already been forged into a hub and then back out.... Its awkward to look at the pretty ARP studs on a dead bearing and realize its just wasted money...

Larger knurls can be quickly and lightly dressed on bench grinder/dremel/file/etc to bring down to .6245 for faster install, or left "fat" as needed if its replacing a previous boogered stud in worn hole.

Use install tool Lisle or bearing etc, and remove via ball joint puller or similar. Do not use a freakn hammer as you damage the bearing since they are very high hardness and designed for high load but not impact shock.

Stock studs are 49.9mm with 0.625 knurl. cut n paste from phone notes:

edit: Metric Dorman wheel studs are 10.9 and equivalent Grade 8 HW. Source: Dorman Product Manager first hand direct personal contact.
For reference: 10.9 ISO 898-1 and Grade 8 SAE J429 are both 150ksi 1040MPa minimum ultimate tensile strength.
Before 2004, I had test results on 46 studs that were all well

610-530 78mm 0.626knurl w 25mm spacer w Apex 18x11 ETxx leaves 12 complete threads exposed and Ford Racing lugnuts completely engage all 8 threads w 2-4 threads spare on stud.

I have personally used 27mm, 30mm and 35mm spacers w Apex 18x11 with 610-333. I opened the thru holes in all my spacers with a 5/8" bit so they just slide over the stud shoulder. After testing, I settled on a 24mm spacer with the 18x11 square setup. After both those wheel bearings died, I switched to 610-530.

Why the need for 35mm spacers? 19x11 Apex wheels ET52 fit fine with 25mm and ARP studs, although true cannot use wider spacers.

Yeah the ARP stud is fine for a 25mm spacer but not longer.

Too bad OPMustang is out of the longer ones.

I like to disassemble things.
I've been eyeing these for months but unfortunately they have been sold out for a while
MSI has been backlogged for quite some time. They have a number of constraints they are dealing with. Hardware is going out the door in smaller batches so grab them quick if they pop up as available...

Guess the ARP studs could be a last resort option if MSI is backed up.

I don't regularly check their website every day but I haven't been able to snag any OPMustang hubs since asking him when he was expecting more in June 2021.

OK you have my attention. I plan on using SM-10 Apex 19x11" ET52 with 25mm spaces. I just want to make sure I'm reading this right that normal lug nuts seat properly with a Dorman 610-530 with a few threads to spare.

I really appreciate the pictures. I'm thinking there is no difference in backspacing between an 18x11" and 19x11" with ET52 made by the same manufacturer. Your spacer is 1mm thinner which is about 1/32" difference. I'm guessing that is about a thread difference.

What tire compounds do you run on the track? I think I have either seen you at COTA or seen pictures of you there. If these can survive that track, they can take pretty much anything I throw at them.

2018 GT I run NT-01 305 square with slightly soft rear sway to decrease oversteer.
Michelin Cup 2 GT350 staggered OEM tires were run on the 2015 when it had GT350 subframe/knuckles. I probably wont put the GT350 subframe on the 2018 unless I decide to go hellion low mount.

Other track tires besides Stang:
The Miata runs Falken RT615K+ , Dunlop Direzza ZIII and Dunlop Direzza ZII / ZII+ .

Audi 02 TT (Quatro future champcar build), 2000 A4 (FWD champcar) and 98 A4 (FWD champbuild) get Falken AZENIS RT660 dry, and Yokohama ADVAN A052 wet. Both are great endurance tires (champcar/lemons/practice days). The fwd Audis allow us to fully build motor and run GTX3071R and still stay within points for 'B' class instead of 'EC'.

Haven't run a Stang at COTA now for several years after joining Harris Hill Raceway. You might have seen the heavy ass Whippled white 2015 there? It had trunk lid and fenders swapped for Ecoboost look and lots of lols. Black flagged 3 times for power drifts. More fun than fast; GT500 wasn't out yet.

TWS (RIP____) was fun too...

In maximizing wheel to wheel race and track time, I end up at HH, MSRH, MSRC, or Eagles Canyon. MSRC and MSRH reciprocate with HH.

Harris Hill for track rats: 20 races a year wheel to wheel in Miatas HH series, and 4 race champcar Audis. Full schedule.

I ordered gt350r hubs with the longer studs and received them yesterday.
Part # Fr3z-1109-a, if anyone wants to go that route. They are not cheap.
