I don’t believe they have a kit with all the “high performance” parts like they do for the gen 2. I mentioned this earlier already that your part number only includes the standard components.
Isn't the M-6004-A5018 just the standard components? Seems like an easy return if it's within the 30 day purchase window.
I recently ordered the M-6004-A5015B but this for Gen2
I think I was making around 814whp on e85 on the older gen3 Whipple with the 3.5" pulley about 5 years ago. I'd imagine that would be easier to hit and surpass on these newer ones.
If you're looking to make really big power in a reliable package, just go with a reputable builder like FFRE, TKM, RPG, etc since they have legit programs so you don't have to deal with the homework and headaches.
I remember seeing their old kit a long time ago but was it a reputable kit? The Aussie guys seem to do huge power platforms really well so I’m interested in what this upcoming kit can do vs the usual Fore triple 285s
Yeah I ended up ordering FFRE Stage 3 block the other day. Hopefully can get it put in and buttoned up before the end of the year.
I don't think you could go wrong with TKM either though. Their program seems pretty legit. These two builders were at the top of my list to go for.
Thanks guys, I’ll go ahead and order these and get started on this build.
Probably will need some random gaskets/seals here and there but I believe this is the bulk of misc additional components I should get.
If i have time and will to, I’ll continue this thread on over to the Member...
I've been running in the 750-800whp range for maybe 6 years now on the Gen3 2.9L Whipple. What I was hoping whenever I do convert to twin turbo, it would be roughly the same whp on wastegate.... then turn up boost for events (half way up for funny business on the streets).
I'd be happy for a...
Cool okay, I’ll add those to my list. It’s these little things I’m afraid I’ll miss or have to order after the fact.
I'm still debating if the TKM 5.2 Predator is "enough" or just over build and go for a sleeved Coyote.
Hey all,
I’m about to order a built short block for my 2015 Mustang GT and was wondering what else you guys would recommend/suggest to complete the build? I’m shooting for ~1250whp whenever I convert to twin turbo, just prepping to the motor to handle it for the longer run.
I have billet OPG...
Yeah this obviously wouldn’t be for me or majority of people.
Just thought it would be interesting if anyone here actually was considering one of these if it was actually capable. For 1/4, 1/2, 1mi racing where you could just throw more boost with maybe more reliability. Seeing the PRP RB26...

Has anyone considered one of these for their build? At what point would one go this route vs a Predator or sleeved Coyote?
I just emailed [email protected] as well as every Motec dealer in my state asking about it.
@Angrey, whenever you have your car dialed in... could you record some demos of the traction control in action? I'm interested in how it plays with the Whipple in your set up. I also have a Whipple but...
So Motec got back with me. Looks like it's not ready yet for the 6R80 but apparently they are displaying it at PRI 2023 soon and hope to release it in Q1 2024.
They're making a new adapter box that they're testing on one of their cars. It has the stuff onboard to control the 6R80 natively.
I'll reach out to them to see what's up. I had asked Real Street Performance like 1-2 years ago and at that time, it was all custom harnesses and nothing plug n play yet. Have mostly been interested in the traction control strategies.
Who is your tuner?
