  1. Tires for Whipple gt

I'm not really here for this conversation, so yall can stop tagging me in it. I've got enough of seat time in supercharged cars Camaros, GT500s, and I'm very confident that I can give good advice on first-hand use with a wide selection of performance tires, because I do have that first hand...
  2. TOTD alignment recommendations?

G2s are going to throw things off. I dont know the rest of your setup, but the car has understeer tendencies if your’re on stock suspension (i.e. swaybars). PP1 or more staggered wheels also will understeer. If you want more front bite, more front camber will help but if you’re not used to...
  3. TOTD alignment recommendations?

Fair... And getting a different than usual alignment and going straight to TOTD might get you in trouble. As for sporty alignment specs in general - Zero front toe or slight (0.05) toe in. Front camber can be anywhere from stock to as high as ~2.5 or so. You're unlikely to need more than...
  4. Tires for Whipple gt

Dont be a dick, its my recommendation not yours. I’ve driven supercharged ZL1 1LE from dtag trees.
  5. Tires for Whipple gt

The manufacturers data says down to 20 degrees. I’ve driven them below 32 yes. If you’re daily driving in winter I wouldnt prefer to be on any summer tire, but it wont damage them I’ve driven on drag radials and quite a few stucky tires.
  6. Tires for Whipple gt

I like the Yokohama A052 for linear grip. Depends on if you need something which is going to last or if you just want some grip and don't mind a shorter life. Also do you need to drive in wet condition or not. Yokes are good for dry or wet, but probably not standing water. They're also...
  7. Possible Venturi fuel tank issue

You can dig in deeper and see in the VCM scanner config for your vehicle and maybe tell if that 27% is the data from the primary or secondary fuel level. The vehicle config config details may indicate which. The dash is predicting miles to empty from an average of your recent driving and...
  8. SCCA CAM-C Thread

Chicago was nice. Good site, good course, friendly dudes, and stiff competition. I’ve been accepting that my big long mustang wouldnt take a sharp 180 around a pivot cone as a side effect of being optimized for larger concrete courses but after a ride in a very tossable DS car, I decided its...
  9. First oil change 2025 GT 350

Its a Shelby American car, not a Ford car, and yes.
  10. My KPM800 track test (KPM 800HP Track Pack Fuel Pump)

Yeah those little triangles are just to show where thr wear bars are at in the meat of the tread. Pretty sure every performance tire has them… maybe every tire? They have nothing to do with inflation pressures, aside from residing on the sidewall, in the general ballpark of where scrub marks...
  11. BAT GT350 Aluminator 5.2xs

    Uh, which state?
  12. BAT GT350 Aluminator 5.2xs

There are a couple ways to do it, but you need the aluminator, which are not cheap, and then you can either do some wiring and possibly maybe run it with a modified GT350 PCM and wiring, fuel pumps etc or you can run it with a Ford ECU designed for their crate motors. Looks like on they seem to...
  13. 1st oil change vs Current mileage

First change, between 500-1000 miles. It burned oil at a reasonable rate so I’d have to put in a 0.4-1.5qt or so between oil changes. Motor lasted 98k before spinning a bearing on an autocross run. Car was a daily driver for the first 7 years, but did well over 100 days of autocross, texas...
  14. This wheel is killer

More of a JDM '90s look if you ask me, but to each their own.
  15. Best oil now that Pennzoil changed formula?

Mostly Motorcraft 5w30 generally for the life of that 1st motor. I was not impressed with how long it lasted and could really tell from lifter noise when it aged out, which very quick in my use case.
  16. Best oil now that Pennzoil changed formula?

Its like 13 bucks, but I don't buy Amsoil because its the cheapest, its the other thing. I'm on my 2nd motor and the first one died in part due to oil/bearings, so saving a few bucks on oil isn't top priority for me.
  17. Best oil now that Pennzoil changed formula?

Amsoil, and with the online membership thing cost is fine.
  18. Parking brake adjustment issues

Yea, its in the caliper, but if you overtighten the cable it can hit physical stops before the self adjusting mechanism can engage, so try loosening the cable a bit first, and then cranking the handle a few times, then readjust the cable but not too much. There seem to be measurements for how...
  19. Parking brake adjustment issues

Try just yanking it about 15 times in a row. They're mostly self adjusting. Yes there's a nut down there on the cable, but you rarely have to go through the effort to get to that.
  20. Alignment question

His steering wheel was probably just turned a bit when they measured it. Looks like 0.5 toe out total, which is more than zero, but its probably not a crooked wheel situation.
