hi! i have a 2018 2.3L ecoboost mustang that was flooded to the roof a few weeks ago, and now im trying to fix it, so i bought used clusters, bcm, pcm, abs, apim, acm, srs module, fuel pump control module, now my question is, which module contains the key information and PATS? is there an antenna to detect the key fob? because im pretty sure that module is bad by now.

my plan is to fix it by myself, and i already have the software for programming, just need to figure out which modules to buy and install

You may have several issues since it a salvage flood vehicle.

Here's some threads to get you started (no pun intended) regarding non-start issues with a salvage vehicle.

This M6G owner bought a salvage/flood - pretty bad - and was able to get it back on the road:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...ium-pp-conversion-flood-wreck-rebuild.116404/

---

If you’re having difficulties getting it started you may want to review these threads:

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...sors-on-the-core-support.169132/#post-3438164

--

There is also this thread where a GT350 owner had a no power non-start issue and could not get the car to start, it ended up being a 125A fuse:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/car-is-dead-need-help.137125/

No power to OBD port:

This M6G member had a non-start failure and after much diagnosis, it was found the cause was due to a wiring harness. The harness that was eventually found was under his S550 and it rubbed on the chassis enough that the wear chafed through the outer protective conduit and rubbed through the wire casings causing a short, which kept blowing a fuse. See post #34 of the below thread:

Flood vehicles are nightmares. You'll likely be chasing all kinds of electrical issues that may appear and disappear (for years) unless everything is replaced and ground locations cleaned. Water damage with electric circuits is not static damage. It morphs as corrosion sets in and spreads/changes over time. You could be chasing gremlins for a VERY long time. This is why insurance companies total them. No one wants to be married to those issues. Don't mean to be a downer, just want you to know what you might get into.

Flooded to the roof? I hope you paid very little for it. All your wiring harness is bad. All body and engine sensors, computers, window motors are bad corroded etc..... Good luck in your resto. There's a reason insurance companies total it when the water hit the seats.

i bought this brand new, got flooded during the typhoon, and i don't have insurance for this, so planning to fix this by myself, planning to change all modules and electronics with used ones from ebay, already gutted all the interior including the whole dashboard, but i didn't find the PATS module in my car, so im hoping somebody here can tell me where the PATS module is

That sucks. We call them hurricanes. Wishing you good luck. Check and clean all the ground locations anywhere they exist and don’t forget the engine to chassis ground.

Would you have been better off stripping it of all the electronics and using the standalone harness from Ford Performance? Like building a racecar from a flood car, deleting all the creature comfort electronic systems.

Check out this thread and see how this M6G user had to reprogram a variety of BCM's and PCM with vehicle VIN when he was rebuilding his vehicle:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/engine-immobilizer-lock-pats.166144/#post-3397603

Although a stressful and frustrating situation for yourself, the answers are on this site - can't stress it enough that sometimes, the threads although lengthy, need to be read top to bottom for the answers.

Please keep us updated with your repairs, as it will help to not only school others but will have added value for others in the same situation in the future.

hi everyone, now that the parts have all arrive and installed, i put everything back, put new battery, and when i connected the battery, the apim turns on, shows the mustang logo then turns off, at the same time, the rear lights turns on for a second and then turns off, but nothing else turns on, the instrument cluster, or any interior light, and no fuel pump priming sound, what should i do next? checked all the relays and fuse in front, all are good

btw, i changed bnew pcm, bcm and the whole center dash, but did not do programming yet because nothing lights up, and i also bought used instrument cluster, fuel pump relay module, srs module, amplifier, obd port

Have you changed the wiring harness? They become unusable after flooding. Corrosion. And go over your grounds. I do not mean the area you live in, the car grounding points. Clean and reconnect. Engine to chassis and harness to chassis.
