cranks snap,I have seen it happen on stock stuff and high end racing cranks.
Cant ever blame one thing, sometimes they just crack or in the casting process have
hairline cracks

If it happened to me id build a new bottom end and swap it in
use all forged shit too, nothing cast or powdered .

Not to mention the turbo post used an aftermarket balancer.
Is this more likely with an aftermarket balancer ?

Thinking of just going back to the stock one with the new block .

Damn, sorry to see this. You see so many crank failures with ATI balancers on them. I’m betting the bolt backed out. And I’m over here running 8.4’s at 165mph with my aluminator and stock balancer ‍♂

Then car will be up for sale . Tired of setting my hard earned cash on fire every year!

This is impossible! Vortechs and Paxton's pull at exactly the perfect angle to prevent this, you're lying, you have one of those crank snapping prochargers...admit it!!
I will admit, this quote about made my spit out my coffee. :) HAHAHAHA

Sadly I will say this again adds to my quote... "The only failed cranks I ever see, have aftermarket balancers"

So many ProCharger guys making HUGE power with our stock add on crank pulley.
I have yet to see a single broken crank with that set up, for years...

Post 114. He’s turbo.
Exactly..... but you know according to the "internet" only PC's do this. Grrrrrrr

I have seen EVERY single power adder break the snout off. (even multiple turbo cars)
There's clearly more to the story, then anyone knows.

I have my suspicions, but haven't been able to test by sacrificing a good crank.
If anyone wants to send me a crankshaft, I will gladly test some theories on it. (outside of a car)

Mine broke this last summer. The Whipple, ATI balancer, and other mods went on at the same time. It lasted just over 3,000 miles.

Clearly there is something to this .
Definitely will be going back to the stock damper with the rebuild .
Not even sure why I needed the ATI on the turbo car in the first place
Probably ready it was a “good “idea somewhere on the internet.lol

Looks like you guys need to look into drilling into the crank around 4" and installing a long ARP stud like the Cobra guys did to help prevent snapping the snout off.

@ProChargerTECH do you have any long term reliability data on the GT350 systems (any failures, testing, etc.)? They require installing the innovators west balancer, so just wondering if there have been similar issues to coyotes with ATI balancers.
