Thought I would share.

Now I am a Procharger fan boy and a stage 2 owner. This is the first I have seen of a 15+ snapping the front of the crank off. So rather than focus on Paxton/PC kits that do not use a dedicated drive belt I would like to keep the topic to "what caused this?" and "is it avoidable?"

I have to believe there was an install F up since he has less than 200 miles on it since install.

The guys motor is trashed BTW and everything in it has been destroyed. Would love to understand if this can be avoided and how.

Damn... On only 10psi and with all the upgrades done.

That's scary. Maybe an extremely overtightened belt? Defective crank from factory?

Being the 1st, I'm not believing anything on ACMR...anyone with a serious post should wait ti'll tomorrow lol

It is a factor our 15 to 17 cranks are stronger, op nothing to worry about!!!

Plus it happened 300km after install. Really sounds like an installation issue.

Edit: Yikes that thread on ACMR has brought out all the Procharger haters.

I bet the crank bolt was too long and or bottomed out and stress cracked the crank. With enough power it broke.

Big dust up on Facebook about this also .. Seeing that it is not a S550 and uses a different Procharger pulley system that the S550 I feel us S550 guys need not worry about it ..

Even the stage 2 is different from the S197 setup?

hope he didn't re-use the stock crank bolt when the opg's were installed, its a 1 time use only bolt. there's a guy on here who re-used his stock crank bolt motor blew when it came loose....

I used arp bolt on my ati super damper during the procharger install.
