LMR now sells a replacement set of 15-17 headlights. The pair comes in at about half the price of a Ford genuine part # for one light assy.
Seems like a good cheaper alternative, but I'd just wrap them with some XPEL or other film in case the lens plastic is less durable or UV resistant.
Finally having some consistently warm weather here is southeast VA, so windows-down evening cruises are back! Only problem is the pollen. Sorry central U.S., please keep warm and safe.
I encountered a father-son duo in a very clean Whipple'd Magnetic non-R on my way home. Figured I'd give a...
Does ATI spec a range for interference fit? Sounds like more speculation about proper fit and install error, unless someonce can provide oem tolerances. I doubt most installers will mic both the snout od and balancer id to verify "proper fit" if that is even the probelm.
Also, has anyone...
@ProChargerTECH do you have any long term reliability data on the GT350 systems (any failures, testing, etc.)? They require installing the innovators west balancer, so just wondering if there have been similar issues to coyotes with ATI balancers.
Seems like it'd be a lot simpler and possibly more cost effective (less fab labor) to have a set of off-road down pipes and another set of catted pipes.
Did you have to extend the hose or did it snap right on? I have the passenger side one now, but I feel like it sags and might be rubbing against one of the sensor harnesses. I think i might copy you
Found the pics on FB. The headers are modified Kooks Super Street shorties. Basically cut off the flange and replaced with a bend/wg pipe and v-band flange. Seems like a smart way to do it.
Any other info on the intake manifold, like fitment with stock hood/motor mounts? It would be cool if they did a plastic version for those who want some more flow and RPM but not wanting to push 40+psi of boost. Plus the lower cost would help sell more.
Plazmaman in Australia has a really good...
Redline has a very high HTHS viscosity, 5.0.
Per the ASTM D4741Standard test:
"Viscosity measured under the conditions of this test method is considered to be representative of that at the temperatures and shear rates but not the pressures in the journal bearings of internal combustion engines...
They have a narrower spacing between the inboard tips. It would be a headache trying to reposition the tips (tailpipes) without having to lengthen piping or reweld hangers, etc. 2018s have the same tip position as the 15-17 roush quad outlet bumper. Look up the GT350 valence thread on the 5.0...
Ive used it with great results. Drove from Nashville to Hampton Roads with no temp problems in the middle of august. I'd just pull it off in the event you hit nightmare traffic.
I followed that thread of the frankenstein build, and it was a glimmer of hope that a NA package would be offered. An engine builder needs to team up with either PBD or Lund for a top end/ remote tuning combo.
I bet that a small shot of water/meth could accomplish the same knock prevention and timing advance as the 100 octane. Race gas and e85 pumps pretty much don't exist in my area. Itd be cool to see a shop perform an octane/additive shootout, making pulls with 91, 93, 93+w/m, 93+boostane, and 100.
