I'm in the process of installing a Procharger Stage 2. I'm trying to remove the crank pulley bolt and can't get it free. Any ideas on how on how to do this?

Help please

^ That. If you don't have an impact, put it in reverse with the e-brake on if the engine rotating is your issue.

I do have a small DeWalt impact. Had to pull the fans out to make room and it actually worked. I'm to old to be doing this stuff.. Thanks for your help....

I just wedged a bearing separator in between the crank and water pump. You just need something big enough that when you crank on the bolt to tighten or loosen it gets pulled in by the belt and wedged in between to stop the rotation.

Also, make sure the car is not on jack stands because the sway will get in the way of removing the pulley once you get the bolt off. The install manual says you might have to remove the sway bar bushings but since my car is not a PP I did not have to remove them since the car was on the ground. Yesterday, when trying to remove the pulley with the car on jack stands, the sway bar was in the way so I lowered the car onto its tires and was able to free the pulley.

Good Luck!

That crank bolt is a one time use bolt so if you remove it, it needs to be replaced it cannot be reused. I suggest the arp crank bolt its $37.00 but worth it! Had it done with my recent build!

Well I got everything installed and back together. I do have an issue. The engine won't come back to idle. If you rev it to ?2000 rpm it just hangs there for 20 or 30 seconds and then slowly comes back to an idle (750). I just sent ProCharger an email looking for advice. I'm thinking its something in the tune they sent me. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Stock PC tune or did you use a vendor? Check your vacuum lines just to be sure as well.

The tune is from ProCharger. I have sent an email to them asking for help and have had no response yet. As near as I can tell there are only 2 points where you mess with vacuum. One at the rear of the engine 'Y' connection and a second in front where you add the vacuum manifold assembly. I'll pull that off and recheck it.

Did you get any resolution to this?

It appears to be a work in progress. I tore back into the car looking for anything I might have screwed up. Mean while working with a tuner at ProCharger trying to get a tune change. I finally got one late this morning that is much closer. I just sent them a data log so I'm hoping to get a refined tune soon. Very frustrating..

Sorry to hear it's not going smoothly. At least it sounds like forward progression. I was just curious thinking how mines going to take several days as I get the time, maybe I better double my estimate. Wondering if it might have something to do with the new kit. Never heard of many mentioning data logging with PC.

Hang in there, I'm betting they'll get you dialed in. I've spoken with there customer service a couple times seemed pretty available and helpful. Crossing fingers for you.

Issues pop up but I had my kit in and running after a day of meticulous work. The next day I was data logging and enjoying my new found power. This seems like a one off issue honestly. There hasn't been a problem pop up since mid 2015 when the first kit/tunes came out.

Th PC guys are bad ass so I am sure you are in good hands. If they can't fix it call Lund.
