:doh:if i was given a choice of an automatic lambo/ferrari or a cheap manual car (mustang, civic, camaro, etc...). Id choose the manual in a heartbeat lol.

I agree that they're a GT rather than a sports car.....I'm not sure I'd class them along with a Bentley...but they certainly ain't a sports car in the true sense of the word..Mustangs are Grand Touring cars, not a sport car. More in the lines of a Bentley continental.

It's a PONY car.... not a sports car, or Gran touring car. ;)Are you saying a mustang is a sports car? because if you are. You are way off.
what do you think "GT" stands for? lol
Mustangs are grand touring muscle cars.
Maybe i'm wrong, looking forward to your reply
I know, stupid right? But seriously automatic driving doesn't give me any type of driving enjoyment at all. That is why I would take the cheap manual car over the expensive automatic one.![]()
If you don't want the performance pack, and you like to wear women's underwear, get the automatic.
Driving a 6 figured exotic vehicle should provide plenty of enjoyment in more ways then one. ;)I know, stupid right? But seriously automatic driving doesn't give me any type of driving enjoyment at all. That is why I would take the cheap manual car over the expensive automatic one.
Call me weird but manual transmission makes driving a much more enjoyable experience.
According to your definition, Dodge's Charger would be a sports car. But trust me, a 'sports car' is the one thing it ISN'T.Semantincs..meh.
A 2-door car with a 450 hp V8 is a sports car... you can call it what you want.
When something as integral to the driving experience as having to physically shift gears yourself is removed, it might as well be a $6figure luxury car. I'll give you that a paddle-shifted exotic will turn incrementally quicker lap times on a road course, which becomes irrelevant and video-game-ish in street driving. I've (very briefly) driven three such cars . . .Driving a 6 figured exotic vehicle should provide plenty of enjoyment in more ways then one. ;)
Something like that . . . I usually phrase it without any car make or model references as an every-time choice to drive a 15 second MT car rather than a 12 second (or quicker) AT car.if i was given a choice of an automatic lambo/ferrari or a cheap manual car (mustang, civic, camaro, etc...). Id choose the manual in a heartbeat lol.
Looks like you also wear spandex so add that to your listWe'll I guess my man card is revoked because I just got done purchasing a GT Premium with CS Package Auto Transmission.
Manuals will be extinct.....in America. in most other parts of the world, cars are still manual. I was watching a video in which the dude said that 95% of Americans cannot drive a manual yet 95% of Europeans can. Pretty shocking.I don't mind automatics, but manuals are more fun, and I figure they'll be basically extinct in about ten years, so I might as well enjoy it (and the V8) while I can.
I have the rest of my life to drive hybrids, automatics, and four-cylinders (assuming humans are still allowed to drive anything at all, that is).
However, if Ford were to announce a twin-turbo Ecoboost V6 with a double-clutch automatic transmission, I think I'd be on board with that...
