I just love how these companies convince people to buy expensive fancy-looking devices which have the sole purpose of preventing the purchaser from seeing the very tune they also paid for and the log it produces.

Something is wrong. My na gt ran faster times on the street and when it was tune cai headers was faster in the strip with a horrible 60’.

Most likely not the tune

Definitely something is up. I have a VMP Gen3r so dont know much about the Odins, but id venture to guess its something mechanical. It would seem boost isnt being built or its loosing the boost somewhere or a major restriction with the cats. Check if boost is being built, check for vacuum leaks, and check if the cats are clogged.

Yeah, you are right. I hit him up on the back channel yesterday and told him get a smoke test and check the cats as well.

Oh I definitely know something is up haha that's why I was trying to figure out the path of diagnosing.

So tuner replied after sending a follow up back. He actually now agrees, no way it should be matching an NA coyote. He said they can see 7 lbs of boost (Should be ~11), but he said it could be off.

I have a boost gauge on the way, hopefully it stays on track to get here before this week's test and tune because we don't have another till mid June.

Definitely smoke test it then and check the cats. Not really anyway to check backpressure on factory ecu without dedicated sensors.

Best way to check factory cats?
Sometimes fuel trim imbalance if one is bad. You may be able to borescope through the front o2 sensor holes. Or you can pretty easily pull the PS car and visually inspect.

Best way to check the cats is to install Longtube Headers with Off Road X and then look in the pipe at your old cats…:like:

Then place in the back of your garage.

😂 this is one my list, but trying to find a place to do them around here has proven difficult. Catted possibly, catless? Gonna be a struggle.

Was possibly thinking of going with SW, it looks like their cat isn't welded, could just get a 3 inch pipe in the right length, but have the shop install the catted pipe then swap it out.

Most of the header companies offer bolt-in off-road pipes

From what I'm finding, most of them have stopped offering them outside of LTH and Kooks. Guessing due to EPA stuff as of the last few years. The guy I used to go to also won't touch headers any longer since the COVID EPA stuff that went down.

When I bought them I just had to fill out a waiver and send it back. Actually ended up putting the cats back on for sound reasons though. I didn't measure any more flow on the MAF with them on so...

Before yall go dogging on the cats (sorry, I had to) see the attached dyno graph. Gray is no cats, dark blue is with cats. Shocked all of us. These pulls were one car, same dyno within an hour of each other. We actually installed cats without even taking the car off the dyno then immediately did another pull.

Not saying cats are an issue if they are unclogged. I have cats on mine still, but a clogged cat can creat excessive back pressure reducing power output
