@mejohn50 will gladly show anyone with PCMtec exactly how to do it, just like I posted exactly how to boost fuel pump voltage without a bap a few days ago.
I know, everyone runs a sock filter on the electric pump inlet. But it’s not a fine mesh required to protect injectors or, more importantly, the gdi pump. Even the gt350/500 have a canister filter under the car in addition to the sock filters. The stock gt bucket has a canister filter in the...
You probably know this but I’ve compared logs of PD vs centrif/turbo charge temps. The PD water/air usually starts out warmer than ambient but the charge temps holds very flat over the course of a quarter mile. Centrif/turbo air/air starts out at ambient or close to it but heats up very...
I don't see J2534 listed on that page. I can only speak directly to the OBX FT because PCMTec recommends it and it's what I use. The cheap chinese one I can supply links and only say that my buddy tested it and found it works as long as you steer clear of their supplied software. All others...
Here's the short version:
This is the max voltage it will send to the pump. Stock is 12 ot 12.5. This will also prevent BAPs from using their full potential.
This is the max system voltage:
This is the command voltage at "high fuel flow":
These should be modified as you see fit with...
I’m using the Obx ft but my friend tried a Chinese Amazon $30 model and it worked as long as you destroy the virus laden installation software it came with.
3.75 pulley on gasoline is most probably fine with just the dw400. If you can mod the tune, I can show you how to send 15.2 volts to it at high fuel demand times.
At one time I had this crazy idea to install wastegates upstream of the cats. They could be actuated by boost just like in a turbo car, and open once you get into boost thereby allowing the hot gas to bypass the cat, lower backpressure, and protect the cat brick from the heat. No, it's not...
I'm just referring to the stock AFR gauge in the dash cluster. It tracks with learned stoichiometry, so around 14/1 on gasoline and 10/1 on E85.
I only watch the gauge when switching fuels or after a KAM reset. Once I got comfortable that it was working at intended, I don't bother checking...
Quite certain vcmeditor/mvpi and PCMtec can read and modify the Roush tune. Lots of people do this. You don’t wipe out the Roush stuff and start from nothing or even have to replace the os.
