If you want low end power I would be looking at a PD blower or turbos. You realize you can just run smaller turbos right? They might not be included in the kit but if you run a smaller turbo it will spool faster and take away your top end. You can optimize other things about turbos to get them...
Double check you got the right sensor as ford changed it for 2018+.
Is the sensor just sticking up above the metal causing the bolt to not align properly with the hole?
The sensor has a gasket oring thing that meets with the rear cover to help prevent debris getting onto the crankshaft trigger...
Car can take higher octane gas if the afr is the same. It will just give the car more knock resistance. But you couldn't run E85 for example because the afr is way different. So just check that the afr is the same as normal pump gas and you can run it.
Everyone is right. The car has adaptive knock sensors but the car has to knock to figure out that it needs to pull timing...
Someone who knows more can chime in but I think the ecu does have adaptive octane logic and maybe after knocking a few times it will adjust the base timing. But I could...
Depends on how much you trust the dealership and how many guarantees they can give you. And I would probably send it to a performance shop to do a good lookover aswell as do datalogs to make sure the tune is right and do compression tests to make sure engine isn't badly hurt.
Couldn’t find any good info on mix %, hp, or times when adding nitro.
If we knew the mix % people were running than we could do a good estimate.
The little I could find was people saying that some were spending $20k to build a motor when you could just run nitro mix. So I assume people are...
A little bit more but ya in the $50-$80 / gal region depending on how much you get and shipping.

Ya I tried finding some concrete info on mixes or times but either I’m not searching the right stuff or people are not making much info public. I just know that people mention it a lot and that the hardcore guys are defiantly willing to run it. Some guys spend like $20k+ fully building a motor...
I know there was a dude on the page who ran a very low 9 second quarter mile that was running nitro. I’ll look to see if I can find some dragy or quarter mile passes or posts with people running it.
Looked into it and seems people run both. Nitromethane seems to be way better for hp but looks like you have to run alcohol for it to mix. Most people seem to switch to methanol when running nitromethane but I don’t see why e85 or e98 wouldn’t work with nitromethane aswell. Only reason I see for...
I’ve never heard of nitropropane but it makes more sense that it’s that. Still has oxygen in it like nitromethane but mixes with gas while nitromethane is usually mixed with alcohol.
I’ll see if I can find some more info on which one it is. People just refer to it as “nitro”.
His numbers sound right. Throw a skinny tire upfront and run atleast a 275 slick out the back. I don’t know how much smaller you can go on the rear and still get traction on an unprepped surface.
Nitromethane not nitrous. Sorry should have clarified.
Some N/A guys will mix in nitromethane fuel. Nitromethane is a crazy powerful fuel because it contains a lot of oxygen but it also has a super low air to fuel ratio which means you have to have super big injectors and a good pump. It’s the...
Ya the 6.65 is pretty unreasonable. Great setup, tons of weight reduction, and possibly some nitro mix. Point was to show that some people go crazy fast n/a.
Every time I look at that Facebook page I get depressed with how slow my car is haha
You have a 10 speed and the gen3 motor which picks up a lot more with an e85 tune than the gen2 does. Just want to point that out for the op and others.
Still very good times for very minimal mods.
I also think the OP is pretty close to what I think he should be at time wise.
Go look on the All Motor Coyotes Facebook page…
Quick search found a bunch of manual gen2s in the 8s no cams…
Found a car in the 6s.
Obviously they have lots of weight reduction but the point is people can go pretty fast n/a without making it a tin can or doing nitro mix.

Did you do the technique of taking out some bolts but leaving the rear ones in?
If I remember right there is only rtv at the back by the rear over and rtv at the front with the timing cover.
If you dropped the whole oil pan I would recommend cleaning and replacing the rtv. But if you left the...
I think OP is just saying it’s annoying not that he can’t correct and is asking why it’s particularly noticeable on this car.
Not every Mustang driver likes it to be a race car. A vast majority want what a GT Is a “grand touring” car.
