I just swapped back my front struts to the stock PP struts. Had the track struts and I will tell you that the drop is considerably more than an inch. Not quite sure how or what people measure as the drop, but wheel well height from the ground was close to a 3 inch difference. Get ready to hit every parking block and scrape your jacking rails over a lot of speed bumps.
Biggest reason I swapped them though was the tire wear. Yes, I had an alignment after installing them. Still wore the insides pretty good after about 20K miles. You can notably tell the difference in the angle of the hub between your stock and track struts. Stock will be sitting nearly straight up and down, while they will be angled up/INBD with the track pack struts. Full transparency, the track pack struts definitely offered a much more responsive and solid cornering experience and they definitely felt great in a corner. But considering I drive 50 miles a day, I have really enjoyed not getting my kidneys beat up on every bump in the road with the PP struts.
All a trade off. I left all the rest of the track stuff on except the struts but its been too long to really compare whether it is any improvement over what the PP offered. I would definitely recommend the camber plates. I will go that route next time if I get the itch to close the wheel well gap again.
