That's an excellent idea using the angle finder! I may give that a try.
You'll want a flat setup area. Level is preferable, but if you know how much it's off you can account for that.

Performing a procedure that tells us that the wheel is true should be undertaken first .

I sure would like to see your procedures and tools for camber adjustments !

Not pretty but it's repeatable to something below 0.05°. The distance between the pivot and the dial indicator stem was chosen such that 0.001" on the dial was 0.005° at the wheel. For 0.001" to equal 0.01° this would have made that distance much shorter and the gauge would have been less repeatable as a result.

I started with this. The little scale is graduated in 0.01" increments, so I also used the trig functions on a scientific calculator to convert distances to a tangent value and from there to degrees.

The steel and aluminum bits were carefully selected for straightness, and in all cases the tool needs to be vertically oriented looking at the car in side view.

I have finally made the decision to go with this package. Do you guys know if the Steeda camber plates will work with it?
