Thank you for the heads up! I had them off because I did a hood strut kit but ended up taking the kit off. Due to that paint chipping I was gonna throw on the stainless for a clean finish.
I went ahead about a week ago on a rainy day and installed the FP Hood Strut Kit. I hadn’t seen the negative reviews of them prior to installing, but I have now. My advice is steer clear of these hood struts, they’ve caused light to more severe damage to several peoples cars from the nature of...
Actually ended up getting this all remedied by a great shop called custom classic automotive in Island Lake, IL. They replaced the studs and everything is like new. Keeping and enjoying the car. Cheers.
I have a 2023 Mustang GT with the 301a package, non performance pack. I’m confused on which one of these packages to order. From what I see the 19" X 10.5" And 19" X 11" aren’t guaranteed to fit any car except PP2 equipped ones, where as the 19" X 9.5/ 10" are meant for non PP2 cars like mine...
I guess I’m looking at it as, positives: car will be paid off and probably by then I’ll be fine with it, if not I have a trade with substantial value to upgrade to a premium with the performance package and an improved credit score from paying it off.
My main concern really is that the stud was replaced. There is no proper OEM fix for that and unfortunately it will always bother me. The paint is nothing that wouldn’t have been something to cause me to trade, but as I said my plan is pay the car off this year and trade due to the stud issue...
I just don’t even know how they managed to do it, it kinda blows my mind they were that careless. As I mentioned with the news it’s unfixable I really am left with no options other than trade when I pay it off.
