Title says it. Hopefully this is acceptable to post, if not just let my know. My previous winter car took a hut from a guard rail in deep snow. It can be fixed but I havent had the time to attempt to fix it. Wondering if anyone has something for sale around me in NY that is a decent price...
So my schedule has not worked out how I'd like the past couple weeks. Unfortunately the problem has gotten worse. Maybe its the cold weather maybe not. Im now getting harder slam shifts when I pull into my driveway at alow speeds and the searching is getting worse. To the point where its...
Yeah it would seem everything I've done up to this point was the older style inner brake shoe for the e brake, where the inner pads would push out to engage the e brake. Well this is good info to know before hand. I havent looked anything up yet as far as doing the brakes on the mustang, but...
It's beautiful, but what the hell are you catching? That damn thing looks like a dry sump, or a catch can for squirrels or mice.......where do I get one? LMAO. Im just jealous because mines a UPR (still great) and is hiding next to the rad.
Just did brakes 2 years ago on my 2007 scion and brakes last year on my father's avalanche. C clamp was used to just compress both of them with no twisting needed. His civic we just finished up this morning "needed service mode on". Thought I could do it with my obd2 tool but nope, you need...
So my nephew wanted to learn how to do brakes. I had him help me with my suspension as an introduction to dropping tools on someone's head, I mean working on cars. Well it's got him hooked on doing all his own work now. Fantastic.
So i showed him some brake kits, found a powerstop kit for...
I had the same kind of issue with my winter car. Took me about two weeks worth of driving to and from work (15 mins) to get the 02s to register and finish the checks. Everything from balls to the wall driving and slow as a snail driving. I don't understand why it took that long to run the...
Yeah i wouldn't have even suspected that to be honest. I "torque" aka let my impact do all the work to tighten bolts.
But glad the OP got it all figured out, one more thing to let my impact handle if i add one
I get it. It happens to the best of us. If you could keep us updated. We are all very curious on what the issue actually is when the shop hopefully finds out the issue.
Went through the same thing when trying to diagnose mine. Mind you i had just done shocks and springs and sway bars. Drove me nuts for two weekends trying to figure out if I screwed something up. Thats when I said screw it, tore the assembly off the front , tore the first one down and checked...
I am not sure if is possible to test with it assembled. I removed my assembly and tore them apart then checked for play with the plate off. I could shift the spherical bearing up and down in the plate with my fingers.
I do not, stock grille.
Yeah it doesnt fluctuate at all when the small surge happens.
Considering it happens in every gear I would think thats not normal operation?
Ok, Roger that. This weekend I should have time to get it done so I'll post some than. Just a forethought also, I never did...
Ill admit right away, these motors are way different than what im used to in the pushrod world. So its obviously a very different world for me. Going from pushrod v8s and MT to a DI v8 ATM is way different than what im used to working on.
Ive still gotta the 5 year 60k available, so I can always call the dealerships which I may do. I just like to try and figure out whats going on and why it might possibly be happening. The more knowledgeable I am , the better off I am.
