I took top pax at a local event yesterday on RE-71RS tires that reached 149 runs by the end of the day. I expected to be uncompetitive on these relatively burnt-out tires, but that was not the case. Looking at the tires in grid, I am again given ammunition that Vitour is harmful to driver competitiveness. It was an overcast dry day with a high of 80 degrees.

congrats!

Looks like the fronts are slipping more than they would new, but I agree - the BStones seem to be pretty good all the way to cord if they're not overheated at some point. I was .027s away from top pax at our local on Saturday on some VERY used RE-71RSs that I also figured would be junk. We had rain on Sunday so that threw the whole pax off but I was out of it anyhow with cones on my fastest runs as usual. I know really fast guys are doing well on the P1s but some of those guys would win on anything. I remain unconvinced - looks like a great track tire but I'm sticking with BStones or Yoks.

Turns out you can break the bumper cover in 2018+ if you hit cones hard enough....

Replaced the broken off piece with two brackets cut out of the aluminum and attached using epoxy adhesive. Will see how that holds up. (picture #3 shows intact side)

I would think a splitter that big a cone would have a tough time getting a direct impact on the bumper enough to break it.
As Dana says it depends how his splitter is attached.

I have those quicklatch pushbuttons on each side, but my car is black so they blend in.

For the record, the brand name quick latches are better built and last longer than the cheaper knockoffs. Pay the extra money. The cheap ones dont seem to last 6mo.

Might check with Pat Washburn if you can (I can put you in touch). Milwaukee region used to run at the Brewers stadium but no more. Not sure where they go now other than Rt 66 in Joliet which is a good site but far from Madison.

Looks like there's a MSCC and they have a couple sites. One looks decent.
