How do you make the adjustments on the Penske's? It looks like they're no easier than the MCS adjustments.

I assume youre also running Penskes up front as well, or are you trying some wild hybrid setup?

Compression adjuster is towards the bottom mount (you can see on the pic), rebound adjuster is inside the top of the shaft using 3/16 hex wrench. I guess I'll see how easy / difficult that is in practice, but need to jack to do it for sure.

Fronts are from Ridetech. This is all from Sam Strano, Penskes are his spec. Also KW Magride deletes.

Interesting blend of components but I have no doubt that Sam has tested every combination out there to find the best solution.

Also - my first, pretty poor attempt at splitter but the QR mounts by Alessandro work very well.
What thickness is the splitter ?

Half inch birch plywood. It may evolve into something better material wise in a near future as in my opinion it is not stiff enough, but it's what I started with to get the shape and mounting figured out - once I have the shape (6" off front facia requirement) and mounting locations, I can make as many as I want pretty easily.

(since that video I've added side fences and removed those aluminum brackets in the back that were meant to hold the wheel well liners). Front supports with QR coming soon.

FWIW he has Koni Yellows and same Penskes on his FS car and raw times CAM-C most of the time - it's obviously the driver and not the car but these work decently. Few other people used his spec Penskes for the rear as well.

I saw him posting about that a while back as well as preferring softer rates. Not sure if 100% agree with his assessment but I cant argue with the results.

He doesn't raw time CAMC when I have anything to say about it :p

Top PAX at the local today! Ahh its good to be back. I was on fresh barely scrubbed Vitours. Hot Texas heat and I never sprayed them once. Never got hot enough where I felt like they needed spraying anyway.

The good news is I don't hate them, they stuck well on normally slippery asphalt where Yokes in good condition were struggling to stick for other drivers, so I think they'll be good for these Texas summer events. TBH they did get faster between runs 1-4, but I also drove better too.

The course really frustrated a couple of the fast BRZ/Miata guys. Top speeds on the straights were 70mph and 64mph.

You put a second on Vivek

You sure that engine is legal ? ;-)
Seriously though, super cool build and bad news for CAM-C at Nats....

How about the gilken? Got it where you want it, or still need some adjustments? Video it looked great, car looks really composed.

idk, the diff seems to be good, I’m still learning how much I can feed it at what stage of corner exit, and it doesnt make the car too tail happy on entry. I may still go back and set the car up a little looser on entry to try to adjust for the diffs behavior on entry, not sure yet.

it would be a bad diff for the cars and coffee crowd because in a straight line if you’re lazy and not actively managing the steering wheel while spinning the rears I think it would be more likely to put you into a tank slapper. The torsen has better manners going straight, but when good and loaded up in a corner the Giken is nice.

The nice thing is that motor needs to be driven almost like a turbo car. Very different from the Coyote. I think it's going to suit AutoX real well.

Certainly gives me some motivation to keep the minimum speeds up.
