I have a 2019 GT350 with 33k miles with a really weird issue and looking for help or recommendations as I did not find anything about my exact issue online. Recently, when I do pulls to 130-140, after the pull when I slow down and want to upshift to a higher gear, the clutch pedal pushes back out with a lot more force than usual after shifting.

Also, when maintaining pressure on the gas like normal driving, the car stutters, and I can hear and feel almost as if the clutch is slipping. Feels like the engine is cutting out at random times every few seconds. I feel the car stopping for a small second or less and then keep going. The exhaust valves open even if I am in 6th gear or normal mode. Sometimes an orange wrench comes on and sometimes it does not.

This problem slowly starts getting better and then goes away after a few minutes or after I shut the car off and turn it on. One time the car did not want to turn back on right away, maybe some electrical issue? Is it stupid to think the battery could be shaking and coming lose enough for the car to go into limp mode? When checking the battery, it looks and feels tightened down. None of this happens with normal driving.

I am leaning more towards a clutch issue or a clutch component issue. But I wanted to get input to see what others think it could be?

Wow, that's weird! I have a 2019 with almost the same mileage. Never experienced that problem. I did replace the battery about 8 months ago, as the car displayed the usual electrical anomalies that are common when it starts going bad. I really have no other ideas! I've never read of your issues on this forum or others. I guess a trip to your dealership might be the best option. It does sound like it's clutch related given the clutch pedal behavior. Keep us informed.

It seems you have a couple issue’s popping up. A clutch/slave cylinder at the end of its life can do some funny stuff. Those will almost always manifest themselves through the pedal. The other issue, have you checked the codes to see whatā€˜s there? Going back to the clutch, I’m assuming you’ve checked the fluids and all that is good.

Oh true maybe that is it. I actually checked it yesterday and it was topped off. When the orange wrench comes up I did not have my code scanner and it has not come back since then. I am now carrying one for next time it may happen.

Hello; I am following the thread to learn. I did have a thought at first but the thought did not cover all the problems. On the hard clutch pedal only the thought is heat. That in a hard run lots of heat is generated. If the hydraulic clutch fluid has a little air in it the air might expand and increase the internal pressure of the hydraulic fluid.

Let me show my ignorance here. This may not be at all possible. Could there be sensors in the various parts of the drivetrain that might be confused if, in fact you do have some clutch slippage? Maybe a sensor reading engine RPM's. Another or few reading driveshaft or wheel rotations? Could the computer be getting conflicting signals during a hard pull and taking a while to reconcile all the data?

I also thought it may be an electrical issue because the valves stay open and sometimes even shift between open and close when I feel the car "slipping". I also turned the car off one time after this happened and it wouldn't turn back on until after 3-5 minutes it did when I tried again for some reason.

Could be a master or slave cylinder issue. I had an issue with soft pedal once the car was hot, but worked fine once everything cooled down. It ended up being a loose flare nut on the slave cylinder hard line inside the bell housing. YMMV
