SO i believe i'm the third owner of this car. Its a 2018 GT350 track pack car. I noticed the other night the high beams wont come one. I dont even get the light on the dash to activate. Reg heads lights work just fine. Anyone have any ideas? I'm at a loss other than possibly buying a brand new headlight. Just seems weird. Thanks.!!

You won't like the price of the headlights.

It's probably the high beam switch or the module that controls them. Dealer would be a good place to get it diagnosed.

I don't. You could check Tasca. Make sure it is the correct switch if you do it, I smoked my SCCM in my F150 trying to fix the windshield wipers. Seems there are 2 column arms.

I'd pay the 100 dollar diagnostic fee just to be sure what the problem is.

Without a sound way to diagnose the problem, and left with cherry-picking parts.
First, thought what are the chances of both lights failing?
Second, what is common, the switch is the answer.

Good advice was given by Dan, buy the Ford replacement part.

I’m not sure about this but I wonder if your fog lights are on will that keep you from selecting the high beams ?

As far as I know there is only one lamp in each headlight assembly. There is a blocking device that raises up to allow for high beam.

Correct, it's a lens/shutter that raises and lowers. So the bulb is either full on or full off. The highbeam causes the lense to retract and allow full beam.

I've seen some defective headlights on the Explorers stop working but always been just 1 that goes bad.

For both to do it.. hmmm

ya, i'm slowly confirming its the headlights. I replaced the bulbs as thats the cheapest option. still no high beam. any chance the ballast would cause it? i have a hard time thinking its the switch in the car as the turn signals all still work. I'm kinda baffled and not really wanting to take it in to ford to tell me what i think i already know lol. I wish the headlights wernt such a PITA to get out id swap one with a buddy and verify.
