Guys, it's "MGW" (Maryland Gun Works). Lou Ciamillo was the father who started the business. We were fellow police officers on the same department and he was known for his work in modifying handguns. After his retirement, Lou and his son, George, branched out to the creation of the well known...
After reading this post, I went to the garage to check my 2019 GT350. The lug nuts are stock and show no damage as I use only a 21 mm. six point socket per the owner's manual. The 21 mm. socket is snug and has no sign of wiggle or movement overtop of the lug nuts. The 13/16 socket will not fit...
Yep, that was one of the first commercials for the 2007 GT500. I had ordered one just like the Shelby depicted in the commercial. That led to three more after that. It was a great commercial, even in the rain!
I have a 2019 GT350 with the stock M3160 transmission with 37K. I have the MGW shifter. No issues with speed shifting and it will bark the tires through the first three gears.
Funny, I was there, as well. I'm the one who pulled the groundhog out from inside the lower bumper, bare handed. I had to laugh when no one wanted to reach in and drag his poor body out without gloving up! I missed the Fontana rally last month due to a kidney stone surgery. I've already signed...
I had a 5 year 70K premium warranty when I bought my new 2019 GT350. It expired at the end of June, 2024. I bought a 5 year 40K, $100 deductible warranty from Granger Ford before my original premium warranty expired. If your current Ford ESP warranty is still active when you purchase a new...
I live in Md. and drive the year round, weather permitting. I have a set (wheels with tires mounted) of Michelin PS 4S's for summer and the Michelin PS A/S 3's for driving in the colder. clear winter months. Works great!
I'm also a member of the FordGT500.com forum and have been since 2008. We have a group of approximately 30 members who attend Shelbyfest each year and as a result, close friendships have resulted. The number of cars can change year to year, but on average about 300 to 400 cars attend the car...
Wow, that's weird! I have a 2019 with almost the same mileage. Never experienced that problem. I did replace the battery about 8 months ago, as the car displayed the usual electrical anomalies that are common when it starts going bad. I really have no other ideas! I've never read of your issues...
Not a bit. The engine is flawless. I think much of this criticism of the 5.2 is a bit overblown. We see people posting about engine problems on this forum which have validity; however, I think the majority of GT350s are rolling along just fine and there are tons of GT350 owners that do not...
Okay folks, I've did some research on our OEM batteries. About a month ago, my 2019 GT350 with 22K on the clock failed to start. The battery was DOA and needed to be replaced, per my SVT Ford technician. It was about 3.5 years old. I was curious as to why this OEM battery failed in such a short...
There is something to be said for a run-flat tire in the situation described by the OP and his subsequent loss of control. My wife's BMW has run-flats on it and she had a catastrophic loss of tire pressure from hitting something similar to a railroad spike at highway speed. The BMW maintained...
So sorry to hear of your plight! Mine is an early production 2019 and I've got 21K miles on it with no engine issues, The valve issues seem sporadic with the 2019, and more often, 2020 engines. Regardless, I'm glad to see you are getting a replacement engine and you'll be on the road soon! Maybe...
I have the MPSS in factory sizes and put them on in late April. My 2019 had the tramlining Cup 2's which had phenomenal traction but a low tread wear figure and tramlined on the lousy Md. roads. I'm very pleased with the MPSS's and they perform well in dry and wet conditions. Be patient and wait...
This was my 10th year attending. I drove my 2019 GT350 from Md. Went to the track day with a close friend running a new CFTP GT500. He's known as Shelbyflyer on facebook etc. Road with him in advanced class. The course is difficult and presents more elevation changes than NĂĽrburgring! I was...
There are about 30 of us from the FordGT500 forum that go every year and just have a blast. Just a wonderful and warm group of car people that enjoy the cars and long-time friendships! Look us up at the Courtyard by Marriott motel. We'll be the ones who are laughing a lot!
Ha Ha! Nope! It has 6 flat surfaces that match the 6 flat surfaces on the factory lug nut! Hence, it's a 6 point socket. At least that's what it says on the manufacturer's packet! It's a 21 mm socket.
