I am wanting to buy the new Radenso but the release date is now almost a year from when it was supposed to come out. I know we can blame it on the virus but hey a consumer can only wait so long before something else catches their eye.

I believe the most common radar detector detector is the Stalker.

There are detectors that do not emit a signal they can pick up, such as the Escort Redline 360C and the Radenso line. (OK some of Radensos are maybe 10ā€™) I imagine there are others.

I need a new one. Radenso has a new one coming out sometime this year. Car will be sitting mostly until spring so Iā€™m waiting to see whatā€˜s available then.

Yeah - if the Theia isnā€™t out by the end of March I will probably get a Redline 360C.

Don't know when that will come out. Perhaps the day after I lose my patience and get something else (V1G2/RL360c).

Sry just seeing this now, i created the stl myself, i'll see if i can dig it out, also pla+ doesn't work well for this, use ABS, i have a black car and the heat, mixed with the pressure holding the radar the pla+ failed
I'd love to get a copy of that file too if you dont mind!

BTW I am considering a Uniden R7 and need advice from current RD owners where the ideal location would be, the options being -
  • Under the mirror using a blendmount type of bracket
  • between the rear-view mirror and head liner
  • clipped to the visor
  • On the dashboard or in the middle of the windshield with a concealed mute button somewhere on the steering column
What I am apprehensive about is if the visor/under mirror mount will be too close to my eyes/head. Looking at other examples in rdforum/google image search is not very helpful as the images seem to be from bigger cars/pickups where there is much more space than the mustang.
Definitely Blendmount and Mirror Tap, rock solid and best location. I think visor is too high and roof blocks signal. I have the Radarmount in my 4Runner and itā€™s very good and less than half the price of the Blendmount. To me the Blendmount is the best Mount on the market.

Here's my setup:

My car has the driver assist package and I'm able to hold my R7 in place with their big suction cup on that plastic housing. I couldn't bring myself to spend the $100 for a blendmount holder, even $50 would be overpriced IMO.

I was able to mirror tap it fine, I just did what this guy did:

I think this was my final cut, PETG should work also for this i think if you dont do ABS... use the "END" from the radar detector as the final connection, this was based off my MAX360

The new Radenso is vaporware.

Yes, but is this the same for the 2021?

I have an R7 mounted on suction cups just above the dash. I agree the better place is higher but at 6' 4" with a long back I already struggle with sight lines and have mirror set up at highest possible position, if i have a passenger in car and passenger sun visor down i cannot see to right when taking corners.

Adding the R7 below the mirror would almost block my vision down to the hood in that direction. Adding above the mirror would force the mirror lower and to the side of the mirror seems weird.

However in Alberta there are few places where police can lurk leveraging hills and bends and the R7 range is fantastic so I accept the trade off.

I'd imagine so. It would be unneeded work and effort for Ford to redesign the harnesses so just take your plastic housing off and check to see if it looks the same. A multimeter would confirm whatever pins you need to plug into.
My prongs weren't small enough to fit into the holes but using the same pins as in the video ended up working for me.

Read Vortex's reviews. I don't want to deal with constant false alarms and no built in GPS in 2021 is a complete joke.

The false alerts are gone with the updated FW. I never have them.
If you pair the V1 with JBV1 there's not one detector out there that can beat it.
