I would really like it if they started making North American cars with strobing panic stop brake lights (like some motor bikes have)
I don't know if there are bike models that come with strobing lights like this from the factory, but I think mostly it's a DYI add-on some riders have added.
No personal experience, but something like this I guess: https://www.amazon.com/iJDMTOY-GS-1...HZ60TP6GCPE&psc=1&refRID=Z1S3N93W3HZ60TP6GCPE

They are a bit annoying to look at, but do get my attention.

There's add on some dealers install (and try to charge people for) when the third brake light blinks few times every time brake pedal is pushed. Incredibly annoying. I removed it as soon as I got back home with the new daily driver I bought.

Oh didn't realize those were not stock. I've seen lots of motorbikes with them and thought they were factory. It's a good idea especially for bikes.

I think that's the whole point, not to be annoying, but to as visible as possible.

During normal brake operation that would be very annoying, I agree. But it would be a good feature if you were braking hard. These Mustangs stop fast. Probably faster than most other cars. Our chances of being rear ending are higher.

When getting out of my 13 year old Ford Falcon ute earlier I was prompted to check here if there is a code setting to allow the S550 windows to remain powered for a few minutes after the car has been turned off. Sometimes handy if you want to close the windows after forgetting. After all my 13 year daily keeps them powered for about 5 or more minutes.

I would really like it if they started making North American cars with strobing panic stop brake lights (like some motor bikes have) and a braking indicator on the front of the car. I can't tell how many times I've been waiting to turn left through an intersection and I have to play the guessing game if the oncoming car is going to stop or be a red light runner.

Actually it is possible to enable the emergency brake lights. The Euro Spec Mustangs MY15-17 have it enabled from factory. Not sure about MY18+

Using Forscan look at the following address in your BCM:

726-26-02 xxxx x*xx xxxx

you should have a zero in that spot. Change it to 1 and the feature is enabled.

the brake lights will flash during really hard/ emergency braking. IIRC the hazards will also come on after completing the emergency stop (not sure about this anymore).

Just checked my Bullitt, and it's deactivated (xxxx x0xx). I'd like to know how exactly it works: Do brake lights flash quickly, and how many times? Or is that just the hazards turning on? And for how long? Does the 3rd brake light flash as well? And how hard do you have to press the brake pedal? I'd like to see answers to that before considering turning that feature on. Otherwise, I'd keep just turning hazards on when needed.

if you slam the brakes hard enough, all the brake lights (3rd included) will flash rapidly and keep flashing as long as you keep the pressure on the brake pedal.
I’m not completely sure about the hazards...I believe they do only come on once you’ve stopped completely.
Wether the brake lights start flashing or not depends on various parameters that are monitored by the car. I can say for sure that they flash when doing an emergency stop from 60mph

Thanks man. I doubt the hazards turn on, since they're a 2-way toggle switch, rather than a momentary one, like on most modern cars. But that's good IMO, since I don't want the hazards on without my consent when they're not separate from the brakes, like on US cars. Sounds like a good feature to have. Now we just need somebody to confirm it actually works on US cars... and with, or without the hazards :D.

Is there such an option of disabling an "equalizer" or something similar through Forscan?

Supposedly, but I don't see why you need to do that, if putting all 3 settings at the middle basically does just that, no? I saw that mentioned, but never saw the code to do it, to see if it made sense. You might want to ask in the FORScan sticky over the DIY forum, and see if you get an answer. It might have been there where I saw that. Good luck.

Yes there is. The non b&o system in these cars has a terrible eq curve programmed into the acm. It can be removed with forscan and it makes quite an improvement when you do. I would not take advice from anyone saying you can do it with the 3 bars in the radio. That is a simply ridiculous statement. If you do a search too find most people like it way better after they remove the factory curve.

I didn't state it did. That's okay if that doesn't help, but after b*tching, at least help him with the freaking code. And I have the B&O.
