If you donāt get that statement in writing, I wouldnāt bet on it.So I originally brought my GT350 to my local dealer (Kings Ford) back in October to get an oil change but they didn't have the filter in stock. I complained because I explained to my service advisor that I left them a few messages to get back to me regarding the shortage because I wanted to make sure they had the filter before I wasted my time. They never got back to me so I didn't find out until I brought the car in.
Well yesterday I brought the car back and got my oil changed because I was sick of waiting. They put in the K&N filter and the Amsoil that I supplied. I actually asked my service advisor if the filter would void the warranty and he said no. This is also the same service advisor that advised me back in October not to use an aftermarket filter. That was before he realized the extent of the backorder.
Iām learning more everyday how dealerships operateā¦.itās not pretty. Iāve been in the industry for almost 15 years.
