FWIW, I ordered a 2087 from Amazon last week, and the projected delivery date is Oct 17-26.
This whole “projected” delivery business is nothing more than a guess from whoever you ordered from. Truth is they don’t know. They just through dates out there so they won’t lose the sale. I get that, I’d probably do the same.
We’ve become so accustomed to instant service that we don’t know how to handle it.
This will end up like the panic buying for ammo….many will have stockpiles of filters then begin to sell on eBay for $175 each 😉

I also keep one or two on hand, just checked Rock Auto - out of stock. Local dealer's price is double Rock Auto's last time I asked.

As long as I get it before my next oil change, I'm all good. And I -just- changed the oil. :)

Here's a supply chain nightmare story from my mid-career:

I worked for a pharmaceutical company that was contracted to build out two new production lines to supply an important drug that was in short supply. As we finished building the lines, the customer kept finding nits to pick, and refused to pay us or to start up production. It was weird.

Until I took an engineer from their company out for a beer, and the whole truth came out... Due to supply issues, the customer had told the doctors/pharmacies that they would only give them 50% of whatever they ordered. So all the doctors inflated their orders by 100% to get their target quantity. Once the back-log of supply was met, 50% of the demand instantly evaporated. Whoops.

After the lawyers got involved, the customer paid up. What a cluster.

I just took a quick look in the garage. I found a 2087. I thought I had more.....

Guess I'm off to amazon to join the list.

So, I posted the below in the GT500 section. It is more applicable here.

The 2018 and below manual supplement spec the 2062. The 2019 and 20 spec 2087.

I don't recall if manual addendums were released calling for all model years to switch to the 2087.

I went to Ford and downloaded the second (final) printing of the manual supplement. It still specs the 2062.

Has there been anything from Ford that supersedes the latest manual supplement and directs the FL-2087 filter for all '17 and above 350's?

I used to use the FL 2062 all the time without issue to include track use.

I don't see the difference between all the model years. It is the same engine. for all practical purposes.

Tom, I am not sure, but it should be the exact same housing, so I'd expect using the 2087 would be fine
