Filter housing should be the same. I have a 2018 and I went to dealer, their system shows FL-2087 not FL-2062.So, I posted the below in the GT500 section. It is more applicable here.
The 2018 and below manual supplement spec the 2062. The 2019 and 20 spec 2087.
I don't recall if manual addendums were released calling for all model years to switch to the 2087.
I went to Ford and downloaded the second (final) printing of the manual supplement. It still specs the 2062.
Has there been anything from Ford that supersedes the latest manual supplement and directs the FL-2087 filter for all '17 and above 350's?
I used to use the FL 2062 all the time without issue to include track use.
I don't see the difference between all the model years. It is the same engine. for all practical purposes.
I was using 2062 with no issues and now im on 2087. Base on my research, the only difference is 2087 is stronger due to internal is metal. I also notice oil pressure on 2087 is actually little bit lower than 2062 across all driving condition. maybe about 5-10 ??? Im assuming thats because 2087 flows little bit better than 2062 ???
the only hard part is getting the 2087. They are all out of stock atm.
