Fl-2087 oil filter

Been looking everywhere for the 2087 filter but everywhere is out of stock

my oil change is coming up soon and would like to run the 2087 filter instead of the 2062-A

where do you guys source your filter from ?

I think me and another guy literally just got the last ones from LMR. Think everyone else is tapped out. Get on a waiting list at RockAuto.

Everyone freaks the f*** out when you mention something other than the Motorcraft filter, but I'd nare bat an eye nor lose a wink of sleep over running the Amsoil EA15K43. People freak because Amsoil has it cross-referenced for the 2062 and not the 2087, when it wouldn't matter anyways.

I bought an oil change kit from Kmanparts last week (10 qts Motorcraft 5W50 and the 2087 filter). Sadly they are out of stock now.

i'd be curious how this compares to the 2062 and 2087. i know someone here did a comparo of the two motorcraft filters and found that the 2087 was more robust on the inside.

The Motorcraft filters feel like paper with a plastic liner to hold the shape. The K&N filter material feels like a much harder material. It has a similar plastic internal liner, but the filter has much more solid feel to it, like it wouldn’t even need the liner.

2087 is stronger due to metal internal. There are few cases of 2062 internal collapsed.

yes, im sure the amsoil filter is fine. Just like the FL-2062-A.

but if i can get my hands on Fl-2087. I would like to run the 87 thats all

I would check all the Ford Dealers around for the 2087 being in stock. I had my oil changed at the dealer a few weeks ago and they put on the 2087 and said they had several of them in stock.

Wow. What the heck is going on? I have 3 oil changes to do. I may have some of these laying around in the garage, but this is nuts.

Probably all sitting in one of the cargo ships backed up at our coastal ports....I'm in NC and finally found a SC dealer that had 1 in stock last month....crazy

FWIW, I ordered a 2087 from Amazon last week, and the projected delivery date is Oct 17-26.

I’ve got two of each (2062 and 2087) that I don’t need, but it’s hardly worth the cost and hassle of shipping. I can bring them to Road Atlanta 10/23 or if somebody wants to pick them up in North Augusta SC….make me an offer I can’t refuse.
