Good feedback.. I tend to get 4-5 days out of 3Rs before they cord, so the ones with only two days should be less than halfway to cording. 3Rs don't come with much tread when new... here's a photo I found online:
I have several used Goodyear 3R tires on hand. I’m changing wheels and wondering if these have enough life left in them to be worth mounting.
Does the blue on the edge from heat cycling mean that they are not good anymore, or can I run them until they cord? I think some of these only have 2...
I took pictures of my brakes a couple of months ago, which incidentally also work as pretty good pictures of the wheels. As you can see they are in perfect condition. If you look closely in person you can see some light scratches around the wheel lug nuts, but you'll see that on any wheel...
Yep... going back to be near family for a while. We'll see how Summit Point + NJMP + Dominion + VIR compares to Sonoma + Laguna Seca + Thunderhill + Buttonwillow. My guess is not very well, but that will just be an excuse to buy a car trailer and go to more distant tracks!
I'm asking $3,000 for just the wheels but I'm open to offers. I paid $175 for the 25mm spacers from Optimum Performance and $128 for the 315 Mhz TPMS from Tire Rack.
Now asking $61K with GT350R wing or $60K without it. Add $2K if you want to keep the extended warranty.
This is only $1K more than a dealership has offered to pay, and if an enthusiast doesn’t want the car by March 5th it’s going to the dealer on March 6th.
