... but it wasn't when I posted the first message. That day I checked 2020 and 2016 and the 2016 definitely doesn't have a match, but on that day, the 2020 didn't either. Very strange.

Riiiigghhhhttt! (in my best Dr. Evil voice) LOL ;)

To be fair the 2087-A has a plastic cage with more frequent supports on the inside vs the old 2062 which failed at least a couple of times that I know of in the GT500. You can look at pictures online for comparison. The lack of rubber end caps is slightly odd though.
I too cannot find any metal caged 2087's - I know 2087A has replaced 2087 -- does this mean that Ford now recommends 2087A as the correct filter for GT350 (in my case 2020)? I assume so...but I can't find Ford saying that anywhere....?

Thx!

The information you're looking for is on https://parts.ford.com/

Punch in your VIN and search for an engine oil filter and it'll tell you the part number that the Ford supply chain currently has for your car. FL2087A is what came up when I did a VIN-free search for a 2020 GT350.

I have the spin on filter you need to torque. Rock auto was my go to for the past 8 years, around 20.00. (Never thought I should have ordered a case of them) Couple months ago I went to order a filter and cannot find anything for under 50 +shipping. Ended up ordering Amazon so shipping was free. I’m in Kanada, So that’s half my problem.

Is the ford filter our only option? If any one in canada knows of a supply chain that’s still reasonable and would like to share, be much appreciated.

I just checked RockAuto and they showed the FL2069ST at $26 CAD plus about $15-$20 shipping for between 1 and 5 filters. That's UPS to Vancouver. I've ordered from RockAuto before and the shipping label indicated the goods originated in a warehouse in Canada, so they're probably in stock in Mississauga.

As for other options, the FL2069ST is the only one that's certain to work. It has thread locker on it so it doesn't fall off when it's properly torqued. Other brands probably don't.

Well that’s fabulous. Thank you. I have not looked since I seen the stupid price, maybe a shortage at that time. I’m ordering half a dozen.
