Car is in garage most all times.. No worries while it's pretty warm in there for me.. same thing for washing the car so I leave the fob away from the car

Hold fob in upper right corner of door frame when you get out. Close door and pull the fob out of the way at the last second. No beeps.

It's habit for me from my ST because I hate the honks with a passion. It's not even a conscious action for me anymore. It's just something I do as I get out and close the door each morning.
Would it work if you kept the fob in your right pocket and just stood right up against the door for a couple of seconds after closing the door?

I hope this works because taking the fob out of my pocket would be just as annoying as the nanny horn.

I don't believe that would work because the key needs to be at the frame while closing, and just outside the window after it is closed. You'd have to be pretty quick for that. And it would be more of a hassle to do than just having your keys in your hand.

When I walk out to start the car, the keys are either in my hand already or in an easily accessible coat pocket. It was annoying at first on the ST, to have to touch my keys like a common peasant, but I got used to it pretty quickly.

Turn your car off...
I use remote start in the morning to warm my vehicle but other than that I always turn off. I assume that pushing that start button on Mustang is probably not a difficult task. But as I am still waiting for delivery I can't say for sure.

Is the key in the car or on your person.? Do you have your autolock turned off?
In my pocket. Probably, but I didn't change anything, it's like it came from the factory.:ford:

Slight pet peeve on this one -- I'm very used to locking my car and then yanking on all the doors to make sure it's really locked for paranoia reasons. Can't do that with this car since the doors will just unlock.

I hear you. On my 135 it a least had a lock 'pin/pull' on the top of the door so you could see that the pin had recessed into the door when locked.

So, I just realized that there is a little led when the lock pull would normally be. It lights red when locked. I initially figured the led was only used for the alarm (which I don't have).

The horn does not sound if you leave the door ajar while the engine is running and you take the fob with you.

Does the horn alarm have a lower decibel level than the standard horn sound? I have heard several new Mustang's beep while being locked. The horn didn't sound as loud as when the driver beeps the horn. Tho' it might just be where I was positioned when the alarm horn sounded.

It's freaking loud. If it was toned down considerably I wouldn't have an issue with it.

Huh? You can't drive away if the car is started and you don't have the key? Going to have to try this. I could see this in an auto, but how does it prevent you in a manual? Or do you just mean you lock the doors and don't need a second key to get back in?
We dropped our car once in a "BubbleWash" were a couple of people washing your car and the customers can drink a coffee, watching the car is getting cleaned. My wife who drove the car, didn't give the key/FOB to the guy who drove it in. We were in the office, paying and getting our coffee, when suddenly the people started running around like crazy. (Imaging that a lot of cars are in processing to get washed.) Our car blocked have way around this process. The engine stalled because the key wasn't inside.

My wife never showed up there again!
