I'm not too concerned with the honk on exit with the fob in the car. Anyone that has ever owned a Mustang knows that you get attention in that car whether you want it or not.

I'm more concerned with the passenger door unlocking as I near the car with the fob in my purse/pocket. Can that feature be disabled? I typically only unlock the driver side door so that no one can enter the passenger side door, but now it automatically unlocks. How do I disable that?

if you leave your keyfob in the car you cant lock the car. Id think if the car is running and locked while youre in it with the fob the doors will remain locked.
And if u leave ur fob in the car.. some omne carn break into and run away with ur car

Pretty sure I saw the option to only unlock driver door in the vehicle settings accessed via lcd screen between tach and speedo.

I guess most Ford vehicles have this problem as there's a thread on the Focus ST forum about that same thing. There's no way to defeat this problem on the ST either. You can roll the window down, leave the key on the seat when you get out, shut the door, reach through and grab the key then hit the button to roll the window up.

The Mustang even honks twice if you close the trunk lid or passenger door while the engine is running (and driver's door is closed).

There is a somewhat easy fix...I do it everyday.
Hold fob in upper right corner of door frame when you get out. Close door and pull the fob out of the way at the last second. No beeps.

It's habit for me from my ST because I hate the honks with a passion. It's not even a conscious action for me anymore. It's just something I do as I get out and close the door each morning.
Did you let the key linger at the corner of the window after closing. I'd take a video and show exactly how I do it, but the ecoboost is currently down and at the dealer.
I tweaked your method...hold key fob at front edge of rear quarter glass, close door...done!

I don't understand. My horn doesn't go off when I exit the car; since I had my
car I hit the horn once just to see what it sound like. I don't leave a fob in the
car -- the spare fob (with the key) I keep inside my house. As a side note, the
first thing I was going to do was tint the windows -- but when I picked up my
car it was already tinted enough for me -- the side windows say Ford Solar Tint.

Annoying when just going ten feet to open my mailbox! ---Ragtop
Scared the crap out of me this morning when I forgot my sunglasses on the counter and just hopped out to go get them. I hate this feature!

With the engine running, you exit the car with your fob, shut the door, walk away, and it doesn't honk?

If so consider yourself lucky - though maybe something is broken...

Once again, I don't understand. I put my car in park, take my foot off the brakes,
hit the engine start button, open the door and then the radio and everythingelse
turns off -- no horn -- no beeping -- no nothing. I keep a fob in my pockets and
the fob with the key inside my house.

You're turning off the engine. The issue is when you need to get out the car and leave the engine running the car honks twice.

Any fix to this yet? I'm hoping some computer genius out there has found a way to reprogram the the car's computer to make this stop.

Anyone up for the challenge or know someone who might be able to try it?

passenger door doesn't unlock when the driver has the fob. tested it multiple times. driver's door opens just fine but passenger door was still locked (had to unlock it for friend to get in).
