My bad. I figured with your passive aggressive reponse to my post youre the type of guy who wants to be "extra" safe.
"My bad" sounds like some 2 year old making an excuse for crapping in his pants

If you think that was aggressive in any way, you might want to check your hormone levels. That estrogen can make people a little bitchy. If you'd like for me to ACTUALLY be aggressive, I can. It's up to you at this point.

Be sure to mask up, bud. I hear folks getting very sick this winter season!
These are the types of posts that irritate me to no end. WTF does that have to do with anything? I love how people make assumptions about complete strangers because of how they respond to something. GTFOH

I decided I’m actually gonna do everything myself, don’t really trust these guys to fix anything honestly after the original work, doesn’t need to be perfect just avoid rust until I can repaint my entire car shadow black someday…

Uh huh. How about the passive part?

Second question, how long until you "ignore" me like the other "men" complaining in this thread?

Asking for a friend

Ah, so we come full circle and it appears my original post in this thread was the correct post.

Seriously though, youre a smart man and wish you the best!

Asking them to repaint that could be a can of worms.
Open it. They fucked it up, they can fix it. Mondays and Fridays were always days to avoid when I was wrenching at Aamco. Probably the same in every field. Comebacks suck but it needs fixing.

Son, do you mind if I call you son? You're the one that got his panties in a bunch about imagined passive aggressive behavior. If I wanted to be aggressive, I would have quoted you directly. I'm not much for the passive part and you weren't the only one trying to make the guy out to be less of a man and not worthy of "the hobby" because he chose to have someone else put a part on his car. I'm guessing you are capable of doing your own oil changes, but I bet you've paid for one before.

I don't need the internet tough guy routine. I am probably old enough to be your father and if I were, you'd have much better manners than you currently are showing. Would you like for me to apologize for hurting your little feelings or something? I will if that makes for a better environment around here.

OP came here venting about an issue and looking for support and answers. Some people chose to give him some. Some people chose to belittle him. Some people, like you, chose a bit of both. Now that he's taken the advice given, and chose to go the route you happened to be a proponent of, between insults, you want to pat yourself on the back like you were the voice of reason. Kind of funny to me. You do it how you want, but there are people here who want to be part of propping people up and helping the situation. Then there are people who don't. When you're consistently part of the latter, it gets tiresome for me and others. If it makes you feel more manly to belittle others on the internet, it says more about you than it does the ones who chose to ignore it.

Again, you do you.

i'd let management know as a courtesy and not expect anything but if they offered compensation in some form i'd take it.

Nope, you are going to have to sell the car. It will never be right. It will bug you forever. The value of the car is going to take a big depreciation hit. Better sell it quick before this hits Carfax!

Sorry, couldn't resist...🤣

KingKona ... have valid points
Wait, what?!?! 😁😁

It being a speed shop they probably don't believe in aprons or not dropping tools.

Maybe they were play fitting some SC bits but they had butter all over their fingers.

It's hard to tell from the photos but did you try a little rubbing compound? I've found that at times it can work wonders. as long as the scratches aren't through the paint.

Thanks for that. Due to this life lesson, I feel like going out and propping people up today.
