Okay thank you. Honestly my main concern is rust so as long as I can get everything covered I’ll be happy, like I mentioned a full respray someday years from now isn’t out of the realm of possibilities for how long I want to keep this car.
Let's be objective;

By the time any rust in those areas is of any concern, the rest of the car will look like this;

Also;

Buy lots of Fluidfilm, jack the car up, and get busy.

I did end up going back and they’re going to make it right, going to respray the strut tower brace and radiator support. Touch up the strut tower. I’m more than happy with that.

I’ve already decided to go back tomorrow but wanted some opinions. Got a strut brace put on by a local shop and upon examining closer I was left with these. I hate to do it but I feel like I have to, this car has 6,000 miles on it.

I know I know… I’ve become very lazy after I had my Fiesta ST.

I am glad to hear they are going to make it right. For those that are giving you a hard time for paying a shop to do it, effe 'em. Sometimes you want someone else to do it, and it's not unreasonable to expect they do a good job when you are spending your hard earned money for something. I get that these items are easy enough to install, that doesn't matter. If you look at the project I have going on, you'll see I am no stranger to doing it myself, but you do what you want no one knows your situation but you. The "hobby" will be fine no matter what.

Thank you. I’ve done all this stuff myself before, I built my old fiesta up to near 400whp. I just don’t feel like it in this point of my life anymore, I’m busy with college and work I have little to no downtime, the time I do have I like to spend with the lady.

Seriously though... your experience is why I do all my own work, including rebuilding the motor in my '18.

I just don't trust any of these idiot shops with my stuff.

Pretty sad they aren't even competent enough to install your tower brace. Crazy thing is what you experienced is all too common.

They'll be no mask on me, my immune system works just fine, but thanks for the advice.

I understand everyone has their own thing going in life. But if you have some free time try to mod/repair your car yourself. There is so much knowledge and aftermarket support for this car its part of the fun. I too went to school and worked had minimal time but on my S197 I did every single mod on it (extensive suspension mods). Consider the time with your car as a time to relax, take your mind off crazy fast paced world we live in.

Man I sound old here, I am 37 LOL
