I have x pipe, do I buy cat back or axle back?

Hello all! I currently have an x pipe on my car but am looking for more! I am very interested in Roush catback but I’m not sure if I should just buy the axle back since I already have an x pipe. X pipe was made for me by a local shop and sounds pretty good! Let me know what you guys think! thanks!

Basically the same. But it would be nice having all one piece of the same shit instead of a custom piece in the middle

What diameter pipe did the shop use for the x pipe? I believe the stock diameter is 2.5" for the exhaust. So they might have cut the 2.5" and used 3" pipe for the x-pipe with a 2.5" to 3" back down to a 2.5" pipe. The cat backs usually use 3" from the header flange all the way to the mufflers. I believe most of the axle backs do the same. I had a pypes muffler delete system installed when I bought the car and hated it. Loud but not a nice refined loud. Noticed that it went from the stock 2.5" to 3" and was all booger welded together. So I went with a full cat back 3" system.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference between getting necked down then back up or anything, but it's definitely a lot easier with bands if I need to remove anything now.
