Auto vs Manual

A couple months before we ordered our new mustang, my buddy stopped over with his new/used auto mustang. My wife came out and after looking it over she said, "I like the black interior". After he left and I went back inside and then she said, "we're not getting a auto are we"? :lol: So black interior and 6spd it was. No issues with the manual so far, 3,800 miles and loving every one of them. I will say it is a little noisy and I think the spacing of the gears are too close. If it's going to be a drag car I'd go with the auto. Good luck!

LOL. So true! Lucky Charms is girly so I would keep your man card and go with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. :cheers:

If you feel insecure and feel you are superior and think man handling a stick is a testosterone fueling event, then by all means get a manual. When you do that to fit into the crowd you must belittle everyone who drives something else.

Seriously though just get whatever you want. Tired of these posts where people are looking for the internets opinion on whether they should by an auto or a manual.

^^^This. Most who have ordered the manual are happy and would do so again. Most who have ordered the automatic (including me) are happy and would do so again. Order the one you want.

Mostly a shot at comedy with the unhelpful remarks, it seems most would be unsure as to why one would ask whats better or what they should purchase. The equivalent is asking whats better, Red or Blue, or asking your friends what tattoo you should get. There are some things you just need to decide on your own.

Thankfully it's a open forum and a can comment all I want . You asked for opinions mine was you need to use the search function and make your own choice. If you can't handle it then you are not ready to be apart of a forum. You will need to build your self esteem first . Or buy a camaro

Im not sure if you even read my post. Its literally impossible for me to know which tranny is more reliable since i have never driven each one more than an hour or so. Also i had no idea there was a search function on this forum until you said something moto so cheers mate. And i have never actually owned a mustang so i wanted to see how strongly felt about each tranny and it looks like people really like the manual so i feel safe getting it.

I wouldn't choose one based on reliability. There's guys driving both hard into super fast numbers at the track. There will be either going half a million miles years from now. Depends on the driver, maintenance etc. so many variables come into play. With the trans being beefed up for 15 I would be worry free. Down the road there will be rebuild and upgrade kits for both given the Mustangs huge following/aftermarket. Drive both and pick what you like.

You stated you want a manual. Once get it you can make super stupid comments about how girly the automatic transmission is or how manly the manual is like the knuckleheads in this thread. I find guys that have to remind everyone constantly about how manly they are. Never live up to their on line persona in the real world! End thread/
