Sound tube Delete

I find it useless and just another piece of plastic in the way when working under the hood. Remove the 10mm nut on the firewall, place a cap on the intake tube nipple, Plug or tape the hole in the firewall, and put this piece of trash on the shelf until trade in time.

For anyone interested I know a lot of us have had trouble with the stupid nut on the firewall. I came across a Ford shop manual that showed how to remove the sound tube. Evidentially there is an access panel behind the fender liner. I just ended up pulling mine out with force but in case someone wants to know here it is.

I had a Roush Kit installed and I'm wondering if the sound tube was left on by the speed shop. Only thing I can think of that allows me to hear so much intake noise (when boost gets higher) but I thought they were removed with the intake kit that comes with the kit

Open up the engine bay and take a look. It’s huge so you can’t miss it.

Once again, the poor choice of default settings for albums bites us.

You needs to manually set it so anyone can see it.

Good lord. Ok should be able to see it. Looks different on a different intake tube but something is plugged into the same area.

That’s probably just the MAF airflow sensor. Here’s a better picture of the sound tube.

just got my 2020 GT Ill be removing the dreadful engine cover and sound tube

I removed the sound tube when I installed the Rousch CAI.
