Does anyone know if Ford continued that same contraption over to the S650?

I mean if the S550 owners don’t like it and it really serves no functional purpose (plus is a waste of manufacturing $$$), one would think after Ford sees social media/forum chatter about it, that it would eventually be an exclusion.

Seems like they’ve switched over to playing engine sounds through the speakers instead.

No sound tube in the engine bay any more though.

I would have expected them to put two sound tubes in... 😅

I removed the tube from my 2018 because it looked like ‘chit on a white chicken’ and hampered access to dip stick.
But first did a little comparison. db meter on center console. With tube ran engine at 600, 1500, and 2000 rpm. Noted sound. After removing tube did the same test. Result, exactly the same. Did test with windows up in park. My car has no idle tick or 2000 rpm knock.
If removing because of ? Sound enhancement, do not waste time. If removing because it looks like some engineering wet dream after thought, it has to go!

I have big hands so I instead twisted the piece out by the strut tower. My S&b intake came with a plug so I threw some grease on it and pushed it back in the spot. It still has the factory crip on it so if I wanted to go back to stock I can easily put it back

Except it wasn't a waste for ford though. They charged each one of us for that gay ass contraption. And I'm sure we don't want to know how much.

I got my delete from LMR. $14.
