  1. Nascar Talk

Richard Petty said it best back in the 60's when I was helping my NASCAR Photographer friend......."This is just a traveling Circus.......same show, different town next weekend."! He and the other early competitors raced for Prize Money, not points toward a "Championship"!! Beer, Smokes and...

  4. Help me justify a price-short throw shifter

I did exactly this......inexpensive and worth a try before spending hundreds of dollars and lotsa time installing a HIGH PRICED shifter!! I had an MGW on my 2014 car and it was perfect, as expected, but this Poly Bushing is practically as good IMHO!! I've made a dozen or so 2-3 shifts at...

  6. Oil in Cylinder #8 spark plug tube

Oil won't cause a misfire unless it's on the electrodes in the cylinder since oil isn't a conductor of electricity.......I always had some oil in the tubes of my 04 Marauder and it never caused a problem in 257K miles!! BTW.......those plugs look good for the mileage on 'em!!

  12. Mt82 to 10r80 swap

No No........very simple and inexpensive!! Also, I have had 3 MT-82's and all worked very well....I found that Redline DCT Fluid worked best in my 2014 car.........put it in my 2019 car but drove very little since my right hip went out but what driving I did was perfect!! I already got the...
  13. Mt82 to 10r80 swap

Yes........once you get the car off the ground remove two 10 MM nuts and pull the OEM one off to remove the soft foam bushing!! Then install the Polyurethane one in the bracket and finagle it onto the shifter and re-install on the 2 studs with original 10 MM nuts.......20 minute job with...
  14. Mt82 to 10r80 swap

I would do the shifter bushing first since the Trans Mount Bushing will greatly increase gear noise!! I tried one in my 2014 car and it sounded like the trans was welded to the body and had straight cut gears....NO BUENO!!.
  15. Mt82 to 10r80 swap

Yep and it's not hard to install if you have smaller hands or at least younger more flexible hands........mine are almost 77 years old and not very flexible anymore but i got 'er done!! :like::like:
  16. Mt82 to 10r80 swap

I had an MGW shifter in my 2014 car.........a real pain to install but really was nice and positive!! Fast forward to my 2022 Convertible......the OEM shifter actually feels pretty good but the foam bushing it sits in seems to be the culprit so I just installed a Polyurethane bushing and it...
