It’s too late to turn back now! I’ve already reached V1-Rotate and pulled back on the controls to get the project airborne, lol. I just received the hot side piping today. The welds are phenomenal. Here are a few pics that I took of the piping during inspection.

Like I said the first reply here. Single turbo on these cars driven on the street is a mistake, this comes from actual experience especially with the blfab kit. No one here has mentioned all the shortcomings yet because they are not experienced with that kit. I just hate seeing people having to do things twice and waste money.

I can appreciate the insight and I am definitely considering everything that has been said. When it comes time to purchase the turbo itself, I plan to have an in depth conversation with BLF about which way to go while addressing the lag concerns or anything else that may affect daily use.

I did find this video that Beefcake made showing the drive ability with the BLF kit and a 94/100 turbo (which is bigger than I would anticipate needing). It looks like he has no trouble dallying his car.

Before it’s all said and done, I expect to visit areas that I never would have thought of, but as I’ve mentioned, I’m a ways away from installation and will spend ti e doing what needs to be done.

The power output and the lag is not the issues with that kit. That's about all I can say because I don't like to bash companies. Tremendous difference between a TRUE daily driven car and a car that is just primarily raced at the track as well.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck with it.

Thank you. To be fair, I don’t daily mine either. I’m currently sitting at 8800 miles, 4 years after taking possession of it.

I was considering going the CX racing route. But I don't know enough about turbos to completely plan out the whole kit. Hellion keeps calling my attention. Was really set on ESS, but for the price of a G3X with G4 IC your already on the toes of Hellion prices. Big single is a good way to go. I just don't want to mess with a/c lines or wire tucking.
Keep in mind the cx kit was designed for mt cars so you'd need to modify it for an a10.

Are you saying this single turbo setup will not be suitable for daily duty?

A bit off topic, but for pd setups, is the whipple generally treated as “the best”? I know roush is the worst, ive never seen anyone clarify if a vmp odin, or otherwise is better or worse
I’m not sure I would Say Whipple is “best”. It does have some advantages.

I like the 2.65 rotor pack due to the oem supplier quality, 3.0 probably being more efficient with more ultimate potential.

Whipple and edelbrock intercooler look pretty similar and better than the others.

I like the Roush belt drive setup and crank pulley the best. I also like the Roush calibration the best.

It all depends on your goals and usage.

One really big thing that drew me toward the single was eliminating the full exhaust system and replacing it with the bumper exhaust exit.
better be ready to smell like nothing but gas 24/7

I hate bumper exits. It's usually hard to run a single exhaust back to the rear of the car so I understand why they do it but I would never have a setup like that.

Even worse is the hood exit...

Info. is scarce on this kit, but here’s a good video that I found that addresses a couple of issues with it. I believe it also has an 88MM turbo on it.

I can modify it no issue. My issue is knowing what I need. I emailed them asking which oiless turbos they recommend & what sizes. The response was "COMP". Yes I know that's the brand that makes the greased lubed ones. So figured Hellion would just be best suited for me.
