The other added benefit of doing it the way that I mentioned is, it’ll be a lot easier to monitor things underneath the hood than it would be trying to jack the car up and roll underneath it.
If you’re going to chance it, I recommend taking the clip from up top by the master cylinder and using it in the elbow in the transmission where the clutch line plugs into it. Then use 4 zip ties one around the clutch line up top and the other around the connector where the clutch line plugs in...
I wouldn’t trust that at all. If that clutch line pops out, you’re not only gonna create a heck of a mess, you’ll likely find yourself stranded. You can order replacement clips here...
If you can, please see if you can get the technician to take a photo of the recalled fuel line and post it. Perhaps they can also point out the exact location of the leak in the line for you too. Thanks
Oh ok. Is the shop going to install the mounts for free? If so, that’s a stand up thing to do. Many places nowadays are quick to leave the customer high and dry once they get your money. Please keep us posted on this.
I understand. There are really three options for you to get the desired results that you’re looking for.
Option #1 (the expensive route) - The head man in charge at Ultimate is Jim Brown. You could call and speak with him directly and explain that you talked to the guy named Adrian regarding a...
I actually had to have Ultimate Headers remake my headers. There were issues with the first set, but they worked all of that out and I haven’t had a single issue with fitment. Now, I did blow out the cats on them at the drag strip, that’s why I switched to the mini race mufflers. Have a look at...
I did lower my engine 1/4”, but that was to make sure the cat bodies cleared the floorpan. I was wanted to make sure that I had enough clearance and could avoid false engine knock.
I now have Vibrant mini race mufflers in place of the cats and clearance has been increased more between the mini...
Are the Texas Speed headers slip fit design? My car is currently on the lift, so let me know if you’d like to see more pics of the headers on both sides to show how much clearance is there.
I’ve heard that Kooks are reportedly a good fit. I have ultimate Headers LTHs on mine and clearance is extremely good. No interference at all and I didn’t have to shift my motor over.
I guess it must vary from car to car. I have them on mine, along with lots of other hardcore suspension components and vibration is very minimal. I’d say a 2.5-3 on a scale of 1-10. I drove 1300+ miles with them and the ride wasn’t the least bit uncomfortable.
I have a 2019 and my tranny didn’t have the upgraded forks. It’s been said that early model 2019s didn’t get the upgrade.
Take a look at this thread to see the D4’s internals.

If you look closely at that pic with the hole in the line, you’ll see where the stainless steel line stops (it has a slight flare to keep the nylon line from sliding off). The hole is about 1/4” down from that. I think that during manufacturing, the nylon portion of the line was weakened when it...
Nope. At first, I thought that it may have been leaking from the clamp on the quick connect fitting or the o-ring inside, but that wasn’t the case.
The area where the blowout occurred was forward of the tank and I couldn’t even reach it with my fingers until I lowered the tank. Weird, but I...
Got that muthaducka! I had to remove the driver’s side subframe brace, unbolt the driver’s side tank strap (which lowered the tank on that side only) and wiggle the line out from inside the car. It was a bit of a PITA, but at least I was able to do it without dropping the exhaust and driveshaft...
I cut most of the factory fuel line out using mini bolt cutters. There’s about 12-14 inches left to remove and wouldn’t you know it, it’s the section where the leak is. I hope to be able to finagle it out from in front of the fuel tank and out the bottom of the car.
Once that’s done I’ll order...
