Consider new Nankang CR-S (v2) - especially that Tire Rack sells it now and you don't have to buy from Phil's and pay shipping. Also, 305/30R19 RS is coming per Bridgestone people, early next year if I remember correctly.

This, the CRS comes in the sizes you need, and is faster than the falkens in raw grip. Just a good tire overall. On the v1's I bought last year they were fast on track, matching my PB's all the way to cord.

I've heard good things. Curious how they are in handling temps at autocross and how quick they come up to temp. Saw they actually have a 325/30-19 but that would take a whole set of wheels and new spacers to make that work.

At this point I've basically committed to finishing out the season on the current tires then pick something up before the start of next season.

There should be much more temperature behavior data on them after this years nationals. The v1's took 1 lap to be optimal for me in a heavy car. So at least a run or two. Another reason to not max out the sizing, a 295/305 would come up to temp faster than a 325 for a single driver.

Most of the events I run provide between 6 and 10 runs so just curious how they handle temps. Primary concern was having them not get too greasy after a few runs as our lot can get smoking hot in Atlanta during the summer. If they can support your GT500 for full track days though that shouldn't be a concern.

I have run CRSv2 in 275/40-18 on 18x11 since Packwood NT and heat has not been an issue for me. It wasn't good to get them in just days before the Tour but since then I have done two track days and a trackcross event.

The trackcross event was around a 2 mile track (Oregon Raceway Park) in mid-90s weather. I got the tires up in the 150 deg range with seemingly no fall off in times. I did go up in rear pressure from where I was as it seemed that I was too soft in that respect. 35fr, 32r hot feels good for these tires, whereas I was 35fr, 30r when I began to run this tire (similar to my BFG pressures and a little more than what I like for A052).

Open lapping on the same track in the same weather means the car and driver give out before the tires do. I don't have any special cooling for the trans or diff than what a 2015 GTPP came with so at most I do 2 flatout laps and take it easy for a lap or two.

I chose this tire because it is XL rated, basically the same width as the 295/35-18 RE-71RS, which isn't XL, likes heat and slightly taller than what was available that could fit decent on the 19x11.5" wheels I also have. I felt like if I could run a tire the same width as the Stone in 295 but was better for my 2nd gear I should be fine for what I'm doing.

There also Vitour something coming with best informal contingency ever, no availability, rumors of being good and no credible tests / reviews yet (and 345 width in 18" size I think).

There is literally abundance of tires right now and Falkens would be my last choice. There is 295/35R19 Yokohama also if I remember and they're manageable in the heat with some generous spraying. ProSolo is where they probably are less than optimal and upcoming Finale looks to have 90+F weather (and it's my only choice at this point) but for regular event -especially local, I wouldn't overthink it.

if I was choosing tires, I'd pay close attention to what Sam is going to run at Nats - he ran a bunch of different tires at recent events from what I saw (and I took a look) so will have pretty good grasp on what the best one is.

I have the 285's on 11" wheels and they really aren't stretched at all. The 305's are interesting but I do like tires that are closer to 27" in diameter.

Local CAMS corvette guy is selling his 325 CRSv2 set because he's concluded that the aren't as fast as the yokohamas. We should find out here for sure in a couple weeks tho.

If you hate the squishy feel of the yokes, the CRS might be a good option.

On track they are a 15min tire if you are pushing hard and have no breather laps. Hero laps are still 1-3, but they don't try to kill you as they get hot. But wear won't be as friendly as an rs4, more falken type of wear.

I just bought another set of barely used 315 Yoks for $800 that I'll pick up at Nats so any kind of trying Stones has just been delayed for a while....

I talked to Jeremy last weekend in Lincoln. He was on the CRSs and said they were taking about half a run to get up to temp but by 2nd run they were fine. If it's hot I'd say go with them over the Yoks, if it's cold go the other way. I'm happy with my RE71s. This was a warm but overcast day running last year's Nats East course backwards.

I spent time on the BFG 200tw in a light car a couple weeks ago. I was fairly impressed with the abuse they'd take.
