I have 30mm because I maximized camber at spindle, but 25mm is adequate.

Wholly dependent on front suspension though.

What's y'alls experience with the Falkens 660s? I've run a couple sets now. To me, it feels like they heat cycle out well before they run out of tread.

I tossed my first set of 295/35s after 83 runs and a TNiA event, and this set is feeling pretty down on grip after ~80-90 runs. Putting them on the car last night (45f) and they definitely were sliding more easily than my street tires. The event today they did 'ok' but clearly needed more heat than Texas could muster this time of year (65f), started sketchy and inconsistent and ended feeling more consistent, but still pretty meh.

Would probably be great for a casual HPDE in their current condition (get some more heat in them), but I hate only getting 6months and 6 events out of them (although one event was Nats+CAM challenge, and another was a ProSolo with a codriver on concrete).

Great first event with the Nankangs and new gears. Finished 14th/159 Raw and 16/159 PAX. Best finish ever. There was about 4 tenths of a second between 6th and 16th PAX and 5-14th Raw. I still have things to work on, obviously, bu overall after starting at HPDE, then converting to autocross and having to unlearn a few track techniques.

Tires felt great. Good mix between RE71R (turn-in) and Rival S 1.5 (slip angle tolerance).

Reminds me how much I'm going to relearn how to drive. I registered for a SASCA event, in my Z4, even paid, then couldn't go due to some issues with my SUV I had to handle. My build is put off for a few months again, due to finishing a Solar powered Art studio and tool shed for my S/O, and moving in with her, just after she finishes a remodel that has her living with me, probably until march or April. She came with her own project, that I guess will be concurrent. Restoring this beast. a 77' that's been in the family since new.

I like your autocross setup, the stuff I run is all setup with tight slaloms that favor mostly small cars.

Did a little bit of work on the car over the past few days.

Spent more than my fair share of runs to Lowes, Home Depot and Harbor Freight, but it wasn't work so...

Anyway, aero project is coming along. A lot of trial and error and I'm sure version 2 of the setup will be an improvement, but it's progressing, nonetheless.

I've learned a lot about fab work and I still have a lot to learn.

Still hoping to have the aero stuff done by May event, but we'll see.

I plan to remove the honeycomb in the lower grill for things to look a little better and be a little easier. Still have to figure out where to route pull wire for the quick release. I may also need to figure out how to secure the rear of the splitter (may just wedge up to the k member and not need support)

Drilling the crash bar was a challenge, but patience won out.

I had lots of help from Brian McGreevy, Nightmaremoon. Thanks all.

Finally... registered for the April 30th SASCA/SPOKES event. Tires(Falken 660's), Braiile battery, camber plates, new brake pads, Front hub/arp kit, and Apex spacers, on the way. I haven't been on course since 2015 Nats. Should be a hoot, but hoping I haven't forgotten everything I used to know.

Wondering about getting it corner balanced. Any Central Texas recommendations ? SoulSpeed still in existence? I may wait until I decide when I'm upgrading the suspension from the peddders.

Did a little work over the past week or so. First time fabbing a bunch of thing, but seems to be working out.. Not quite finished, yet. Close, though.

What are peoples favorite Rain tires/sizes ? Building up a second set of wheels. I don't know what others do for rain, but I'm going to go smaller than the 315's.

you can get real race rains (pirelli, michelin) for $125/ea off the 'net. Or run Continentals in like 275 size. The Conti seem to be particularly good in wet.

Nice run, I remember that event and your car! I am glad I found this thread.

I had the #98 GT350 at the March event. Your car looks a lot different now than at the March event.
