What happened to me in Bristol in 2022 was not the car's fault. But at 16k miles I did have the Left rear bearing start giving me issues, and had to change it at the Pro Finale. Ironically no slop, no noise, nothing but kept getting ABS sensor problems. It was kind of dirty in there, maybe that was it. I still have that hub, though I am not sure why.
Yeah sometimes the rear hubs start to fail without a lot of drama. Clicks or pops which are resolved by replacing the hub, but no noticeable play... or no noise yet, but some play at the hub when you check.

The newer replacement rear hubs and axle nuts seem to last a lot longer than the original 2015 S550 parts, so that's good.

I so rarely get ABS/Traction Control codes or rebooting issues that I just usually don't think about it. When it does happen, its usually triggered at a pothole or jarring bump, or if you hit some gravel or loose pavement (the latter makes me think there's actually just a software issue contributing which won't be fixed with any amount of hardware fixes). The former does suggest hardware problem and maybe steeda's knuckles will help with that. IDK. When I go to a big event, I may pull the 'dyno' connector because that does eliminate the risk of the sensors or software causing a problem during a run.

I've heard other folks claim that pulling the dyno plug changes how the ABS engages and brake bias, which has always made me nervous when I've pulled the plug myself.

But I also think some of those folks have only done it once or twice, and my experience has been that none of the braking dynamics changed.

So it's coming up on tire time for this season and looking for some feedback.

305/30-19 Kumho V730's were decent last year, but weren't really fast until runs 4-6 as they were still building heat. They hung in for a season and a half with 2 different organizations so can't complain about their tire wear characteristics.

Looking at the following for this year.

295/35-19 Yokohama A052
315/30-19 Falken RT600

I'm sure the Yok's are faster overall, but curious how many runs you guys are getting on them. I have a 120 mile round trip to the site and back. Primary group will have 7 events total with 6 runs each and I'm going to try and make it to the other groups events 3 to 4 times and they typically have 10 runs per event. That puts me around 80-90 runs per season. Will the Yok's be dead by the end of that? Wife is still coming to terms with me racing again and the finances involved so need the tires to last at least 1 full season minimum.

Vitour P-1 without a slightest doubt.

Seriously though, if I were you, I would wait for 305/30R19 Bridgestones (RS-71Rs) that are supposed to be released early spring (I know your season probably starts early). If not, Yokohamas.

I have last year's set of 315 Yoks with a bunch of events on them and another slightly used set I bought at Nats for nothing but still think I'll try Stones. Ideally need another set of wheels.

If the stones ever get released that would be at the top of my chart.

Vitour is obviously the move. I've already setup 5 Facebook discussion groups about how good they are to try and score a 5% discount on them LOL.

Appreciate the intent :) Technically it could be allowed regionally but with all the drama that this dude created some regions are not allowing it. Ours may not allow it as well (and Optima/DriveAutoX/UMI isn't allowing it either).

What's the best diff bushing kit out now? I tried to get Whitelines, but they aren't available.

you want 'puck' or replacment? I've got a few Whiteline 'puck' kits on the shelf. But Steeda has now "licensed" (copied?) the full-replacement solution under their brand.

I've got the BMR pucks in there right now, but when I put the new pumpkin underneath it, I want something fresh. Do you mean to tell me I'm going to be forced to buy something from Steeda? I feel like it's going against my religion, but I don't want the 95-durometer full bushings from BMR.
