I didn't have an AAR or Hemi Cuda but I did have a 340 Cuda. My Hemi car was a 1970 Roadrunner. I could be going 60 in 4th and light up the tires without a downshift. But it needed spark plugs about every 5000 miles. It would load up and start fouling them at stop lights. After a while they would not clean up from reving.

The 340 cuda reminds me of the S550 5.0 mustang a lot. It felt a lot faster due to the gearing and the weight. The tires sucked as it would blow off the tires in any gear. It came with 6 inch wide rims.

Motor Trend flogged a Hemi 'Cuda for their May 1970 issue.
The stock 235/50 18 tires on the base cars are better than the drag only slicks we could get in 1970

I think they are, since the 5-60 time is 5 seconds.
I don’t know about that my friend. I achieved a 4.8 0-60 on the street with my 2014 GT with ford racing tune lol

1973 a “…good year.” For muscle cars… not really based on all the performance stats.
Who said anything about cars? It was a joke about a completely shit year. You get Dark Side of the Moon, a gas embargo and me out of 1973. 1 out of 3 is the best I can do.

There was the Trans Am H.O. 455, but ya, the party was pretty much over for about a decade plus.

That's a big miss compared to new cars. Even later, we had _no_ grip and bad suspensions. 400 HP was a _handfull_. A 90* steering correction every time you shift to 3rd gear will get your attention.

These guys
Brai s are owned by Tesla. I'm syprised they don't just but one, join their forum and be cheerleaders for the Durecell powered Sewing machine car. Lol
Yeah. If you have a decent street car. Now tesla should be a problem. Other than a plaid haha.

I spent 6 years perfecting my car for street digs with a radial tire.

All magazine quoted 0-60 times are w/rollout. It's been that way quite some time now. Considered "industry standard" to have 1 foot rollout...

All I know is that off the line these Teslas are darn near impossible to beat. It's like they're instantly just doing 70 MPH from a standstill. Same with the Bimmer Ms. The Mustang needs to evolve and incorporate AWD into the lineup. Maybe do like the Ms and give it the feature to turn off AWD and use only the rear wheels to keep the purists who wanna be slower happy. But something has to give. Because I'm not buying any more cars that cost this much but have inferior traction. I love my Shelby. But I'm getting sick of getting shown up by AWD cars and HP EVs. If we're gonna keep up then we need at least AWD.
