Hey all

My brother talks endless shit about his Tesla Model S 75D. I think it's a 2018 maybe? Bone stock. Car is a golf cart, albeit a quick one, but he couldn't be a bigger Elon dude bro. It's infuriating.

Recently purchased a 2015 RS2 with the Roush phase 2 kit (canned calibration), BAP, optional passive Roush quad tip axlebacks, Ford Performance rez delete X pipe, and 19 X 11 SVE 350s with Indyhawk 325s on the rear. Car is a manual transmission. Basically the antithesis of his wheeled vibrator.

How do you expect me to fare against him? Deliberating spending $2k on injectors & nGauge / Lund tuning to go from 600 whp to 650 or so but not sure it's needed to put him in his place. I'm actually thinking it's needed since everything I'm reading suggests the canned tune from Roush is uber conservative and that Lund's optimization would help more than just the 50 whp peak suggests.

Also, despite being extremely beta, his car 100% kills from a dig per my butt dyno. Pains me to admit it.

The 75Ds are quick but not that quick. 0-60 in 4.2. Now if he uncorked that bad by its a mid 3 second 0-60 and a high 11 second car. Stock low 13s.

You just need him to do 5 or so runs with you back to back without using a charger between runs.

I don't know anything about Teslas. "Uncorking" means like reflashing the tune or something? Lets you use more power from the battery when accelerating hard?

Correct, its a flash to allow the motors to unleash all their power. Doing so really limits their range though. To be frank I don't care about Teslas at all...I don't even consider them cars, they are really fast appliances.

The more powerful Model S P85D would give a bone stock Gen 2 Coyote S550 fits from a roll if it had a full charge. The P75 is slower/less quick than the P85D. I am not enamored with the Tesla acceleration (although I admit I haven't ridden in a high end performance model to feel that instant torque). Sure, the high end performance models are quick for two long pulls under the right conditions, but they trail off extremely quick on back to back runs or if they lack a full charge. Look at this Car and Driver test: https://www.caranddriver.com/review...an-turbo-s-vs-2020-tesla-model-s-performance/

After 3 runs the top dog Tesla S Performance is nearly a 14 sec. car in the 1/4 mile. On its 5th run, it is a 15 sec car and 0-60 in almost 7 seconds. This is coming from an initial 1/4 mile run of 10.7 seconds.

75D? No chance unless full charge and starting from a dig.

Pick your poison. Anyone with a brain is only going to hammer that Tesla for two runs or so....but those 2 runs will be dramatic. That's all it takes to prove a point.

Tires look good.... What other than coil overs do you have for suspension mods? I'd look to lock down the IRS it you haven't yet. Need an efficient as possible start.

I think it'll go exactly how you think it would. Hard to beat a Tesla off the jump but past 70 mph he'd get gapped.
