I put Redlines on my 15, easy install and tight operation. Had to cycle 1 of them a bit to loosen it, no problem.

Another vote for Redline. I had the Ford Performance ones and quickly removed them due to the poor mounting brackets.

I put Redlines on mine in late '19/early '20 and they still work like new.

What's everybody using? I put a Steeda kit on my 20 when new and the gas cylinders have crapped out. I can't find enough info on them to locate replacement cylinders so I may have to buy another kit. The info printed on the cylinders doesn't get me anywhere on searches, I measure them at 13 inches extended and about 8 inches closed. Anyone have something similar that has the weight rating on them, I could probably find cylinders with that info. Thanks Jim
Installed ford struts 7 years ago they still operate like new.

I’ve had the kit on my 2019 through both winters and summers with no issues. They’re built to last, but like any component, some sets may hold up longer than others.

Best,

TJ

I installed the Ford Performance ones when I bought my car new. They're still working fine, but back then I wondered how long they would last so looked online for replacements. There was a website at mygassprings.com and the part number was SE130P-55 which I believe was 13" hole to hole for the mount and 55 for 55 lbs. of pressure. I just went there now and that part number isn't there anymore so left them a message. After 5+ years I would imagine they'd be weaker but still seem fine if it's fully open. If you pull the hood down about half-way then it would slam shut.

Just don’t use Ford Performance, the mounting brackets WILL damage your car.

It has me, maybe if you spent some time under the hood working on cars you would also get tired of running into the prop rod. And being outside in the wind and have a gust of wind blow the hood up off the prop rod then slam down is another thing I recommend you try!
Are you working on your car in a hurricane? Thats a heavy hood to be affected by the wind.

Never had any problems with mine. Maybe they need to be installed correctly ?

Roush. End of sentence. They are awesome. Double points of contact both top and bottom, very sturdy. Put on both my Mustangs and they work fantastic.

I would take a look at the holes that the struts mount to on your apron after taking them off and I guarantee they’re bent in some way.
