Reads like he stated that we don't want troops stationed along the entire length of the wall 24/7/365, right? The 'caravan' was a special case of mass, organized, funded incursion. A wall or fence around your home makes more sense than paying people to stand guard 24/7/365, unless you're quite rich. That along with a security system, cameras, a dog or dogs, and lethal and less-than-lethal options for when you're home.Trump indirectly admitted that we don't need a wall.
The wall is a part of overall security along with other methods of finding and tracking those who choose to enter illegally.
