So you support self appointed, unaccountable vigilantes ?

You are going to need to come up with some evidence for that wild statement. If you know different you better let us all know, especially the Police investigating the case.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...-who-were-they-anthony-huber-joseph-rosenbaum

Funnily enough it doesn't mention anything about either of them being paedophiles ?
yeah, funny enough that they aren't mentioning just how big pieces of shit these shitstains are, instead touting them as little angels.

this was the first guy shot and killed.

on the second guy:
"
uber, who lived in Silver Lake, 15 miles west of Kenosha, was a keen skateboarder, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

His girlfriend, Hannah Gittings, addressed protesters on Wednesday night, describing Huber as “one of the most amazing people”.

“He had nothing but love in his heart for this city … he took down an armed gunman with nothing but his fucking skateboard, and he took that fucking bullet,” Gittings said, according to the Sun-Times."

hmm notice how he is also out of town, but not being vilified as looking for trouble like they are with the kid?

Huber, domestic abuse, sweet sweet angel of a man

Claim 1: "If you give power to Joe Biden, the radical left will defund police departments all across America"
President Trump attacked his Democratic rival over law and order, against the backdrop of the recent unrest in US cities.

Since the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May, there have been calls to "defund the police".

Donald Trump and other Republicans have claimed that Joe Biden supports this but Mr Biden has said repeatedly that he does not.

In June, he told CBS News: "I don't support defunding the police".

ok, radical left will certainly continue, especially if Biden makes it in, I would certainly contend that this comment is mostly true, at least in what their intent will be, and not false.

Claim 2: "We have already built 300 miles of border wall"
Since January 2017, when Mr Trump assumed the presidency, 275 miles of wall along the border with Mexico has been completed, according to the latest US Customs and Border Protection report.

However, most of that was to replace existing structures.

A total of 245 miles of wall has been built in place of old barriers.

But only 30 miles of new wall has actually been built.

Most of this (25 miles) is what's called "secondary wall", which is constructed to reinforce the primary border barrier.

The border with Mexico is about 2,000 miles long.

So yeah, 245 miles of replacement/upgraded wall and 30 miles of new wall is 275 miles, which does round to 300 miles of border wall being built. Dumbass article is trying to throw in caveats that were not claimed.

Claim 3: "Over the past three months, we have gained over 9 million jobs, a new record"
Here, President Trump claimed the US economy was recovering "much faster" than other western nations from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

It's true that - since April 2020 - there have been nine million people added to the US payroll, according to the US Bureau for Labor Statistics.

it goes on to say but trump didn't mention the 22 mil jobs lost in the crash. Well, that is because he is highlighting the recovery, there is nothing wrong or disingenuous on this statement.

Claim 4: "The United States has among the lowest case fatality rates of any major country in the world"
President Trump didn't mention that the US has the world's highest overall number of Covid-19 deaths, nearly 180,000.

Instead, he highlighted the case fatality rate - the ratio of deaths to confirmed cases. Of those who tested positive for coronavirus, how many have died?

It's true the US rate is relatively low on this measure compared with most major European countries, including the UK.

So, if you throw in other caveats, or comments that were not made, you can make this seem false. And among the lowest, when the U.S. rate is around 3.5%, which is in the lower portion, especially as compared to countries with 14%, then the statement is factually correct, if somewhat disingenuous by not mentioning having one of the highest infection rates so that total fatality per capita is near the top, even with a low case fatality rate.

Claim 5: "He [Joe Biden] has pledged a $4 trillion tax hike on almost all American families"
Trump is correct that the Biden plan would lead to $4 trillion in revenues (over a decade), according to analysis by the Tax Policy Centre.

However, this claim is misleading as the taxes would target the wealthiest Americans - not "almost all American families".

The Tax Policy Centre found that 93% of the tax increases would be paid by taxpayers in the top fifth of households.

So, that other 7% would be paid by who? Oh, it is spread out among the other 65% of the American families who pay taxes? Which is over 50%, therefore...most? Yeah, statement completely and factually correct. the article is purposely leaving out data to imply that Trump's statement was false.

Claim 6: "We obliterated 100% of the ISIS caliphate"
It's true the Islamic State group's territory - a "caliphate" it declared in 2014 across parts of Iraq and Syria - came to an end during Mr Trump's period in office.

The US-led alliance overcame the group in its last stronghold in Syria, March 2019.

Image captionIraqi government forces recaptured the city of Mosul in July 2017
But as the BBC reported at the time "despite the demise of its physical caliphate, IS remains a battle-hardened and well-disciplined force whose "enduring defeat is not assured."

On 12 August, a top US military official laid out what was needed to score an enduring defeat against IS, noting the group still posed a threat.

I can agree with this statement being misleading enough to be called false, as the caliphate is more than just a location, and the non-physical part has not been destroyed.

Claim 7: "We will always, and very strongly, protect patients with pre-existing conditions, and that is a pledge from the entire Republican Party"
This refers to a requirement that health insurance companies can't charge people more if they have pre-existing conditions.

It became law with President Obama's signature domestic policy - the Affordable Care Act, known as "Obamacare".

Donald Trump and the Republican party want to repeal Obamacare and replace it, but have failed to do so despite pushing for it in Congress.

In June, the administration asked the US Supreme Court to permanently end Obamacare - which includes those provisions for people with pre-existing conditions.

If successful, it's not clear what the Trump administration would replace it with. President Trump has signalled that he may make insurers cover people with pre-existing conditions, but there's no detail yet.

So, the statement is likely completely factually correct?

Claim 8: "Our Nato partners, as an example, were far behind in their defence payments. But at my strong urging, they agreed to pay $130bn more a year"
The current defence spending target for Nato members is 2% of gross domestic product (GDP), to be reached by 2024.

The US spent roughly 3.4% of its GDP on defence in 2019, according to Nato estimates, while the average in European Nato countries and Canada was 1.55%.

Mr Trump has argued that members are not spending enough on defence to support the alliance and that the burden is on the US.

The figure that the president mentioned - $130 billion - is the amount that has been added since 2016, not per year.

"Since 2016, Canada and European allies have added $130 billion more to the defense budgets, and this number will increase to 400 billion US dollars by 2024," said Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in December 2019.

OK, bit confused here, budgets are a yearly thing, they state that Canada and European allies have added 130B to their budgets, but then state that that is the total amount added since 2016? But they leave out the word total....so if you read this carefully, it would certainly seem that there has been an increase of 130B per year since 2016, so while they attempt to make the statement look false, it is in fact correct. Can you show me differently?

The other guy was 15 miles from home on a protest, doesn't quite compare with crossing the state line armed and ready to kill. Can you only protest if you live on that street and can walk from home ?

Nope - it was a fact check article that clearly supported some of the 'facts' and not others as you agree.

According to you, all four came out looking for trouble and found it: one shooter, three shot, and two killed.

At any rate where are the gunman's parents? Heck, he knew he was wrong... running away like a kid.

Was he even allowed to open carry in public? One site mentioned you must be 18 to open carry legally in public there, although an exception might apply for hunting... which is what he went to do.

I don't understand "get my gun and go to the protests" mentality. I say let the police do their job. Sure, if I had a business I'd protect it. I can't see taking my guns out to a protest and standing on a corner. Seems to be begging for something like this to happen. And I understand it is within a right to do just that but I don't think it is smart. Because you can do something don't mean you should. I'm sure other gun owners will disagree with me.

yes, all 4 went looking for trouble, all 4 found it. I'd charge the two survivors with gun violations both committed, and then call it a day.

Let police do their job? That's why there is a protest! because police do their job.

so, people cannot protect their neighbors property? You can only protect your own? Seems a bit selfish, and I hope that attitude never penetrates the south where we look out for each other.

Also, he did not run away like a kid, he went to the police afterwards. Twice in fact, and called 911 at least once. He was told to go home that night by police, the next day he turned himself in.
